The whole vibe is just campy fun and the humor feels very self aware about what kind of show it is

musashi forgetting all these girls is still kind of a stretch and the supernatural stuff is taking way too long to actually happen but the art is nice enough

how the village feels so creepy and quiet really makes the adult scenes hit harder and the mystery with himeko and the others is getting way more intense than anyone expected

Seeing those subtle nods to the Three Kingdoms lore in the ending was a nice touch for anyone who knows the history

Zhao Yun just clobbering that bandit after the stocking trick was the highlight for sure

The pacing is moving really fast, and I wasn't expecting so much bouncing but the action scenes with Zhao Yun were still entertaining to watch

I really liked how this episode introduced Zhao Yun because her personality is so different from the other girls, and that whole distraction trick with the stocking was just hilarious. The show doesn't take itself too seriously at all which I appreciate. Seeing the Three Kingdoms references in the credits made me realize the creators actually did some research for this

Its mostly just fan service and silly jokes but Zhao Yun taking her sock off to win a fight is definitely a top tier strategy

The girls having actual personalities instead of just being basic tropes makes the whole thing work so well

That chibi section in the middle of the episode caught me off guard but it was actually pretty funny

I still cant believe Zhao Yun really distracted that guy with her stocking and then just wrecked him

Guan Yu and Zhang Fei meeting Zhao Yun was fun and the show is definitely leaning into the campy humor

Sei using her legs as a distraction is just pure camp and it makes me want to see what other weird tactics she has for the next town

Rinrin helping those prisoners escape was such a great move and I think it shows how much she adds to the group when things get messy

That white stocking distraction was the most ridiculous thing ever and it was great how this show refuses to take itself seriously during the fight scenes

Aisha and Sei hiding in those merchant crates was hilarious because there is no way they fit in there and the bandits were so clueless about it

I was not expecting Sei to just take her stocking off to distract a bandit and it made me laugh so hard because she is definitely my favorite now

The supernatural stuff makes the encounters feel way more intense and the mystery about why Musashi forgot everyone is actually keeping me hooked for the next part

You can really tell there is something wrong with the way the village looks and Musashi being so oblivious to the red flags is driving me crazy

The pacing feels all over the place and you barely get to know one girl before the story jumps to the next supernatural thing happening in the village

EPISODE CONTEXT

This is the concluding episode of a two-part OVA series. Episode 1, 'Tales of Love,' established Musashi's mysterious ties to the women and the village's hidden supernatural dimension. As the finale, this episode bears the responsibility of closing those threads and delivering on the emotional and erotic promises the series set up — there is no subsequent episode to defer resolution to.
