It is definitely weird seeing a Three Kingdoms story without a male lead but Kan'u carries the episode well on her own. The show feels like fluff and the way the girls interact makes it clear this is more about comedy than history. It is just amusing nonsense with solid character designs and constant yuri teasing between everyone in the group.

Musashi is surrounded by these four girls who seem perfect, but there is clearly something wrong with their eyes. That scene where he finds the old charms really set the tone and now the entire mystery of the village is wide open
