those rain sounds at that bus stop were so cozy and the animation on her track outfit looked way better than i expected

The animation on the rain was stunning, and the bold way she initiated things at the bus stop was a total surprise.

Rainy background noise made the bus stop setting feel so lonely and quiet until they started doing their thing and it made the scene much more intense

I was actually surprised by how much the rainy atmosphere added to the whole scene at the bus stop. My favorite bit was when they were just staring at each other while it poured down, because the tension felt so thick. It usually feels forced in these types of shows, but the way she leaned into him made the whole encounter feel earned.

A lot of the character designs for the girl felt a bit generic and the whole bus stop encounter was over before it even got interesting

Her track jacket looked so realistic in the rain and the way they both just gave in to their urges at that bus stop was actually pretty hot

I felt like the contrast between her being a star athlete and him being just some nerd made their chemistry at the rainy stop feel oddly natural

Somehow this otaku kid actually has game and the interaction with the runner girl by the road was way better than the typical trashy OVA

Why was it so short and they barely even spent time at the bus stop before things moved way too fast to feel real

My eyes were glued to the screen when she started taking off those track clothes and the animation quality on the skin detail surprised me

That rainy atmosphere at the bus stop really set the mood and the runner girl's track outfit was drawn so well before they got started

It surprised me how she matched his weird energy during the sniffing scenes because it felt way more honest than most things in this genre

You can tell this isn't a normal romance since they start doing some seriously strange stuff almost immediately and it makes for a very unique watch

Watching the track girl slowly let her guard down while it poured outside was a lot, and the chemistry between such different people felt surprisingly grounded for this kind of show

The bus stop setting made the whole thing feel way more intense and the way she just went along with his weird requests was definitely unexpected
yokai_yuki_27's avatar
yokai_yuki_27
I was not prepared for the sniffing and the way they both just embraced their own freakiness at that lonely bus stop really caught me off guard

seeing a track girl like her in such a secluded spot and then watching her mask slip while it pours outside is exactly what made this stand out

the guy looks like a typical nerd but the way he handles the situation once they start talking shows he has a lot more going on under the surface

that escalation at the bus stop felt way too fast and it would have been better if they talked for a bit longer before jumping into everything

yamabiko_yamato_40
i was caught off guard by the dialogue, since they both seem so normal until the dark stuff starts coming out at the stop

EPISODE CONTEXT

As episode one of a two-part OVA, "Katatsumuri" carries the full weight of establishing the narrative foundation — characters, setting, and central dynamics all need to land here.
