Idoly Pride Episode 1: From This First Step

As someone who has watched a lot of idol anime, I've never seen an idol series with a premise this bold. This is a completely different kind of show. Most idol anime revolve around themes like "Keep moving forward" or "Never give up," and chasing the future. Those are solid messages, but IDOLY PRIDE goes far beyond that. It's about legacy.

The director was absolutely evil for giving us a story like this, but that's exactly what makes it so special and unforgettable.

Now, enough about the story, let's talk about the quality. 1st, the animation. Without a doubt, this is one of the best looking idol anime out there. From the CGI performances to the 2D animation, the rendering, and the overall visual design, Lerche absolutely cooking on this project.

2nd, the music. This is only the beginning of the story, so I can still expect plenty of bangers in the future. The opening theme and Mana's songs are good, but they aren't particularly catchy to me. Still, the soundtrack has a lot of potential, and I'm looking forward to hearing more

Seriously, at first, I was quite disappointed with how the story was portrayed. The pacing felt all over the place, and the narration was also very messy, but the twist really caught me off guard! The story became far more intriguing and engaging then. This is a really solid premiere!
