Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube Part 2 Episode 12: Secret of the Demon Hand (Part 1)

The episode opens with a vision of a hellish landscape, rivers of lava flowing through jagged rock formations. Purple lightning cracks across a dark, turbulent sky, hinting at uncontrolled power. From this fiery abyss, a massive, red, horned demon slowly emerges, its roar echoing through the ominous scenery. This monstrous figure, born of raw elemental fury, dissolves into smoke, leaving only the lingering, terrifying impression of its power.

Back in his apartment, Nube sits quietly, marking student papers, humming a familiar tune. His calm domestic scene is abruptly interrupted by flashes of the demonic vision, accompanied by growing roars. His red-irised eyes snap open, filled with concern, as a ripple in his coffee mug mirrors the ominous purple lightning. The mug falls, spilling coffee that momentarily forms the demon's face on the floor, signifying the beast's encroaching presence.

Nube's left arm begins to convulse, transforming into a monstrous, clawed appendage, tearing through his sleeve. He cries out in agony as purple energy engulfs his arm, the process agonizing and out of his control. Suddenly, Hiroshi, Kyoko, Miki, Katsuya, and Akira appear at his door, their innocent queries turning to gasps of terror as they witness their teacher's horrifying transformation. Kyoko shouts, recognizing the dreaded Demon Hand.

As Nube writhes in pain, Tamamo Kyosuke arrives, having sensed the abnormal demonic presence. He calmly observes the flailing Demon Hand, protecting Kyoko as it tears his jacket. Tamamo explains that the seal on Nube's hand is breaking, a phenomenon tied to a spiritual low point, 'Zetsume Jushibi.' He declares that Nube will be consumed if this continues, prompting desperate questions from the terrified children. Tamamo, despite his rivalry, states he won't let Nube fall so easily, seeing an opportunity to unravel Nube's secret.

Tamamo announces his plan to dive into Nube's memories, holding up a glowing orb and chanting an incantation. The orb engulfs them all in a golden light, transporting them to a shrine, a place from Nube's past. Confused, the children try to interact with Nube, but Tamamo explains they are incorporeal and cannot reach him. He points out a glowing orb in Nube's hand, signifying Nube's thoughts, and uses his own orb to jump through Nube's timeline.

The group skips through various memory fragments: Nube observing a blocked flow of Ki by a river, then walking a dark alley as a spiritual magnetic field disrupts Yin and Yang. Tamamo explains that Nube is sensing the 'Omagatoki,' a rare alignment of the spirit and human worlds. The memories then shift to Nube's first day as a teacher, a chaotic scene where he swings from ropes with candles on his head. Miki remarks, 'He hasn't changed at all,' and Tamamo sighs at his past foolishness. It is here Tamamo notes Nube's left hand is still human.

The memory shifts to Nube playing volleyball, then shows Minako Sensei, his former teacher, offering him encouraging words. A sudden, intense flashback within the memory reveals Minako Sensei's heroic sacrifice, sealing a powerful demon within a young Nube. She tells him, 'Your power will make many people happy, Nube,' then smiles sadly as she is consumed by light. Young Nube cries out in despair, haunted by her final moments and the heavy burden placed upon him.

Back in the current memory, Nube's arm begins to transform, and he watches in horror as a gigantic, monstrous red hand bursts from the school building. The sky darkens, filled with purple energy. Nube, now fully transformed, charges forward, clashing his own demonic hand against the colossal limb in a burst of light. He is thrown backward, defeated and unconscious, as the monstrous hand continues its rampage, leaving a trail of destruction.

The children and Tamamo watch in despair as Nube lies defeated. Tamamo picks up Nube's now-dark orb, realizing they are trapped in the unconscious memory. Just then, Nube stirs, remembering Minako Sensei's hopeful words: his power is for happiness. With renewed determination, he stands, his demonic hand glowing with red energy, ready to face the demon once more. He reassures his frightened students, placing a protective barrier of talismans around them.

Nube charges into battle, his glowing hand striking the monstrous demon. A massive explosion erupts, and the demon dissipates, the sky returning to normal. His students rush to him, relieved and cheering, while Tamamo watches with a softened expression, a hint of respect now in his eyes. Tamamo then uses his orb to return them to the present, where Nube slowly awakens, his demon hand now back to its normal state, healed and under control.

Relieved, Nube asks Tamamo if he was saved, only for Tamamo to explain it was a combination of their spiritual power. Nube then addresses his students, his hand glowing with gentle blue energy. He explains that his demon hand is not just for fighting, but for protecting others and bringing happiness, a lesson from Minako Sensei. He vows to continue protecting them, bowing deeply, earning the admiration and understanding of his students and even a newfound respect from Tamamo.
