VerifiedFirst time trying a psychological horror crime genre and I think it was good to try it. The emotional build up was good, I can feel the emotions and able to understand some decisions that have been made. I think the animation transition with Aya was good given that this is an old anime. I just feel really bad for Mayumi. And the background music also adds some thrill, tension, and suspense. Not gonna lie, I got chills and my body feels like it took a screenshot watching this but not bad for a first timer.
A great start for a really interesting premise. We're introduce to both hell site and how it works with this one contained episode. I do wonder if the anime will stick to this format or not after this. We also get to know Enma Ai, but not quite know anything about her yet. I used to watch this as a kid, so I know there are creepier episode than this. Overall a great first episode!
