A letter, adorned with whimsical script and a drawing, serves as her grandmother’s posthumous invitation, beckoning her to 'Wonderland.' At Kagami Station, Risa is greeted by Mr. Urai, a formal, almost detached figure who confirms her grandmother’s deep connection to 'Alice in Wonderland.' The conversation shifts quickly to practicalities: her grandmother’s assets are gone, donated away, and no, there is no job for Risa at the foundation. Her hopes for an easy escape from job hunting are swiftly dashed. Yet, as the car drives through the scenic landscape, Risa decides to set aside her worries and embrace the moment, finding solace in the beauty.

The car arrives at an ornate gate, declaring 'Welcome to Wonderland,' a direct homage to the classic tale. Risa’s awe grows as Urai leads her through vibrant gardens to a grand manor. Inside, a hall of checkered floors and a magnificent stained-glass ceiling captivates her. Her discovery of a golden 'White Rabbit' statue sparks childlike delight, only to be followed by Urai’s cryptic warning about losing her head if she doesn't follow rules, a chilling echo of the story.

Alone in a lavish room, Risa dons the ear device, and her world shatters into vibrant, surreal art. Her phone transforms into a shimmering apple charm, a physical manifestation of this new reality. Suddenly, the White Rabbit bursts in, a whirlwind of modern anxiety, ranting about social media and a ticking clock of life. He peppers Risa with nonsensical questions, utterly consumed by his hurried existence, before snatching her charm and fleeing.

Without a moment to consider, Risa plunges into the same dark hole as the White Rabbit, falling through a dizzying kaleidoscope of bookshelves and floating objects. The descent is both terrifying and exhilarating, a visceral plunge into the unknown. She lands, disoriented but unharmed, in a vibrant ball pit, where the surreal nature of Wonderland truly begins to take hold.

In the ball pit, Risa encounters Alice, a tiny, articulate girl who immediately warns her not to step on her. Risa discovers she has also shrunk. Recognizing the scenario from the classic tale, Risa confidently produces a small blue cube, reversing Alice's shrinking. Now Alice is giant and playful, lifting Risa onto her shoulder. They then walk hand-in-hand towards a beautiful castle, a bond forming between the unexpected companions.

Their journey continues onto a fantastical chessboard in the sky, with floating chess pieces acting as stepping stones. Alice, carefree and agile, leaps from cube to cube, but Risa is terrified, paralyzed by her fear of heights. She begs Alice to be careful, but Alice’s youthful exuberance is indifferent to danger. A griffin intervenes to save Alice from a fall, leaving Risa to cling to her cube, overwhelmed and alone in her fear.

Risa eventually loses her grip, tumbling through the sky amidst falling chess pieces. She lands in a soft bed of vibrant flowers, shaken but safe. Alice, now concerned, greets her, a moment of genuine relief for both. Risa then realizes her apple charm, her transformed phone, is the key to returning to her normal size. Taking a bite, she grows, and then helps a now tiny Alice shrink to match her, restoring a sense of equilibrium and companionship.

Continuing their journey, Risa and Alice discover a new chapter, venturing into a mystical forest filled with giant mushrooms. They encounter a bored, self-important Caterpillar who is less interested in their quest and more concerned with his social media metrics. He boasts of his fame as 'the thousand-year caterpillar,' lamenting the struggles of maintaining an online presence. His dramatic pronouncements and sudden disappearances leave Risa and Alice bewildered but, surprisingly, understanding of his modern woes.
