Meanwhile, General Olivier Armstrong and her brother Alex coordinate their forces, receiving the grim news of Buccaneer and Fu's deaths. Olivier silences Alex's outburst of grief, her stoicism a mask against her own pain, as she warns her troops not to underestimate King Bradley's resilience.

Deep within the facility, Edward Elric, Alphonse Elric, and Izumi Curtis are abruptly dropped into a dark chamber, their sudden appearances disorienting them. From the shadows emerges Father, now a grotesque, towering monstrosity covered in blinking eyes, radiating immense dark power. He calmly informs them that they are three of the five "sacrifices" needed for his grand design. Their attempts at alchemy are useless, their powers suppressed, leaving them trapped and outmatched by this terrifying being.

In another section of the underground, Dr. Goldtooth cruelly pressures Roy Mustang to become the fifth sacrifice, mocking his ideals. In a horrifying move, Goldtooth's subordinates seize Riza Hawkeye, a knife pressed to her throat. Hawkeye bravely tells Mustang not to give in, but the soldier slits her throat anyway, and she falls, blood gushing from the wound. Mustang's gut-wrenching scream echoes as he cradles her dying body, his hands soaked in her blood.
