kiyomi being just as completely down bad for light as everyone else in his vicinity is so funny to me. he has this impossible pull on literally every person around him and this episode just keeps proving it. the story is moving at a genuinely terrifying speed and i am scared about what comes next

the narrative density reaches a genuinely demanding level where tracking every character's individual plan simultaneously becomes difficult even for attentive viewers. this is a feature rather than a flaw — the information overload deliberately mirrors the protagonist's own increasingly unsustainable situation.

the fact that near has essentially already figured out the full picture is absolutely insane and genuinely terrifying. i cannot even fully grasp what light is trying to plot right now and that means we are operating at a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LEVEL. i am scared of whatever comes next.

Even this story is close to end, more pieces of the puzzle come in and still nothing is discovered or catch. Each character still lives up to their names!

Love seeing Near putting the pieces in place and respecting how L would want things done. Takada's role in the story continues to grow, and some sort of rivalry is given spotlight this episode between Takada and Misa.
Murder aside, can't believe Light is a rizzler.

Near is finally drawing a conclusion on the connection of Light, Takada and Mikami. But he still doesn't possess solid proof. In the meantime, Misa was invited to a private dinner by Takada, and the conversation got pretty intense. Lastly, Takada was pretty amused!

Tension spikes in this episode, sharper than before. Animation was able to portray their emotions that steer decisions, making every move feel unpredictable. It’s convincing to watch how impulsiveness starts to take over the story.

This one feels slower than the previous episodes, mostly setting things up. But it’s interesting seeing Mikami finally confirmed as X-Kira. The tension is building again, especially with Near and the SPK getting closer to the truth.

This episode turns the pressure up again. Near closes in by analyzing Mikami’s movements, proving he’s just as sharp as L. Meanwhile, Light Yagami continues his layered manipulation through Takada, staying outwardly calm.

The tension is at an all-time high! Near is now 100% sure Light is Kira. Light is using Takada as a secret way to talk to Mikami. It’s like a deadly game of telephone. Everyone is watching everyone, and one wrong move will end it all.

This characteristic demonstrates how conceited Light's disdain is. The ultimate bluff. Misdirection masterclass. Near believes he has discovered Kira's hand in Mikami, but Light is actually using him as a pawn to conceal Takada's actual murders. A dangerous hide-and-seek game.
