Después de tanto tiempo de juego mental, persecuciones y planes maestros, acá la historia pega un volantazo que cambia todo el tablero de juego para siempre. La atmósfera que se respira es de pura fatalidad; sentís que algo grande está por pasar y, cuando finalmente sucede, la ejecución es tan perfecta que te quedás mirando los créditos en silencio total, tratando de procesar lo que acabás de ver.

No te voy a contar qué pasa para no arruinarte la experiencia, pero este episodio es la prueba de que Death Note no tiene miedo de tomar decisiones fuertes. Es un cierre de ciclo magistral y, a la vez, el inicio de una etapa completamente distinta, una joyita absoluta!!!

rem's decision to use the death note functions as one of the most consequential structural pivots in the entire series. having a shinigami actively choose to sacrifice their existence to resolve the central conflict reframes the supernatural elements in a way the show had not previously signaled. the emotional cost lands because the show earned it fully.

i was absolutely not prepared for what happened at the end of this episode. the sheer audacity of the move that was made completely blindsided me and i had to sit in silence for a full minute after. watching light lose the one person who truly matched him was devastating in a way i genuinely did not expect this show to be able to deliver.

Gripping and intelligent from the start. Light’s descent begins subtly, and the concept is executed perfectly. The tension builds with every decision.

Is a tragic episode because the series lost his most iconic character, seems to me a lost that doesn't apport nothing to the series and instead make it slowly and unattractive, the characters that replace L, doesn't have charming, after this there are not memorable scenes at all

Madhouse strips away all of L's inner monologue and lets the silence do the work. The rooftop, the foot-washing, the rain, L dying in the arms of the person who killed him. Devastating and perfectly constructed. Amazing dark episode.

With this episode, you can really understand who are the protagonist and antagonist. It is like going back to the tangled events in previous episodes but since there are few more episodes left, this might be coming to an end.

Ummm did not expect Misa's part...I'm not gonna spoil it, but I was pretty surprised.
I am so sad about how things turned out, but it also seemed inevitable.
Can't believe Light is trapping Rem like this.

Light, with a full hold on the situation, started his finishing act. The plan unfolds to finally kill L. And it proved to be a double benefit for Light, as he can also get rid of Rem. The chapter of L ends dramatically. Only the future knows what it holds now!

Man… this one hurts. L and Watari’s deaths are just sad to watch. Light really managed to manipulate Misa and Rem perfectly to make it happen. The way everything unfolds makes the ending of the episode feel really heavy.

This episode was intense from how it was slowly being built up, but Kira's iconic faces somehow always end up making the scenes be more hilarious than it should be. I was also impressed by Kira's wits because of how he was forcing Rem to make a dreading decision.

This episode is chilling in its simplicity. The rain, the silence, and Light’s brief smile before turning away are made more unsettling by the still, minimal animation and careful framing.

This episode is pure tension and tragedy. The rain-soaked rooftop scene between Light Yagami and L feels like a silent farewell. L’s final glance and Light’s chilling smile make this the unforgettable end of their legendary rivalry. This is the end of an era.

This is the one. The ending of an era. Seeing L accept his fate while the bells ring in his head was heartbreaking. Light’s "victory" smile as L fell was the most evil thing he’s ever done. Truly a masterpiece of an episode.

The unsettling conclusion of this episode features the last silent farewell between L and Light. A tragedy masterpiece. Rem's ultimate sacrifice breaks the tension and results in the most well-known and terrible death in anime history. The truly famous end of a rivalry.

Probably one of the best episodes of tv I've ever seen tbh. The thrilling fast pace throughout kept me at the edge of my seat and the climax of the episode is shocking to the core. A twist I didn't see coming during my first watch through AT ALL
