Welcome to Night City, a very advanced city yet still feels like a slum where corruption, criminal activities are still rampant. We meet David, living in the slums and also a student at their academy but he is an outcast due to him being poor. Until one fateful tragedy, he found himself with a military grade tech wanting it to be installed on his person.

Night City is brutal; this makes sure you feel it. The visuals are electric, but the story is heavy and grounded. That ending scene is a total "point of no return" vibe. Absolute masterclass intro.

I came from this video game based on Cyberpunk 2077. The protagonist, David, is the best in confidence, strength, and emotion.

Night City hits like a punch to the soul! Insane energy, gritty vibes, and a wild intro to David’s chaos. This opener screams cyberpunk greatness already.

A big bang of a start to a series. It tells you just enough about the world if you're a newcomer, while littered with just enough easter eggs for those familiar with the game. Emotional rollercoaster is an understatement to describe this episode.

such a gut punch. Night City is gorgeous but man, it’s brutal. Seeing David just trying to get by only for everything to go south so fast, that ending with his mom actually broke me. The colors and the vibe are 10/10, but the trauma is already real.

This episode opened without no long worldbuilding. Just straight into David’s chaotic life. Like... We’re following him before we even realize it. His life introduction wasn't even special, mind you he’s JUST a regular broke kid. But the moment his trajectory shifts? I’m in.

SO MUCH HAPPENS IN ONE EPISODE?! I felt like I was being pushed through a fast track of a day in David's world. I like that they didn't explain everything and got right into it with the slang and city. 24 minutes felt like an hour for me, and all I want is to keep watching!!
