(Covers ch 41-44 of the manga) The studio changed the form of Kidoumaru, I liked the one in the manga since it looked cool. Kidoumaru's form in the anime looked like its a nightmare fuel, the running motion made me want to kill with fire. They omitted again some important parts and yes they also cut some scenes in the reward 😉. Tenka didn't mention of the upcoming meeting but instead showed the egg thing on the antagonist side, that's quite an odd decision from the director of the anime 🤔. Should you read the manga instead of watching the anime? The anime is worth the watch but I still prefer the manga since I have read it first and some parts got rushed in the anime.

Abanger finale man the eight thunder gods are one of the kind persons to defeat . Seeing Kyouka and Aoba forced to coordinate was legendary.

A bit werak for a final episode and leave it open to an S2 but at the same time, also feels like one of those animes which may just leave it here and expect us to follow up with the manga

I love the explosive action and character growth has a very good meaning, also the intimate scene between kyouka and yukki is very attractive.

Strong finale energy. The action is confident, the command dynamic is fully refined, and Yuuki’s role feels cemented. It closes the arc while clearly hinting at bigger conflicts ahead. Season ends on controlled hype. I NEED S2.

I watched this episode, which wraps up the season with intense battles and high emotional stakes. The action is flashy, character dynamics feel sharper, and it leaves a strong impression while clearly setting the stage for future conflicts. I'll give 8/10

Episode 12 is a strong, entertaining finale that balances action, power fantasy, and the series’ signature ecchi elements. It doesn’t reinvent the genre, but it satisfies fans and leaves room for Season 2.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the twelfth and final episode of Season 1, this follows the significant Demon Defense Force conflicts of Episode 11 and pivots toward personal stakes — specifically Kyouka's backstory and her ambition to rise through the ranks. Rather than wrapping everything up neatly, this finale functions as a bridge, consolidating the character growth and relationship dynamics built across the season while explicitly setting the stage for a second season's broader objectives.
