When Byakuya's Senbonzakura scattered the petals to break through that barrier, I couldn't help but wonder if his bankai is truly just about offense or if he's always been able to manipulate it like a key, too. It makes me think about all the other ways he could use it that we haven't even seen yet, which is kind of thrilling.

I usually skip filler but hearing Byakuya show up made me check this out and the way he uses Senbonzakura Kageyoshi against Kariya's wind is actually pretty clever, even if the animation felt a bit stiff during the big reveal of the swords, and it was weirdly cool seeing Ichigo and Byakuya forced to fight on the same side for once

The way the wind just completely shut down Senbonzakura felt like a huge deal, and Kariya bringing up Rukia just to mess with him was a low blow. That final scene with Ichigo crashing the party was such an exciting ending.
