byakuya sending rukia back to the estate to recover is so typical of him and he wont let ichigo help when the bounts are clearly a massive problem for soul society

hitsugaya using bankai to shut down koga and that dalk doll was such a massive highlight and seeing him freeze everything in his path made this filler arc feel worth watching for once

seeing the bounts actually set off bombs in the seireitei was wild and hitsugaya needs to stop kariya soon because this is taking way too long

Rukia getting injured should have been enough for her brother to help but his cold attitude toward Ichigo just shows how much he sticks to his rules

The way Kariya talked about freedom while standing in the heart of the Seireitei was actually pretty chilling and he seems way more dangerous now that he is on their turf

Watching Hitsugaya investigate the destruction shows he is a natural leader, and his speech about striking back was the only thing that kept the interest alive during this filler.

Yamamoto finally declaring war after the pavilion attack was a big moment but it feels like it took way too many episodes to get to this point in the story

I honestly do not know how to feel about this episode, because on one hand Hitsugaya taking command was actually cool but then we have to deal with the Bounts again. Seeing the Senzaikyū get wrecked was a shock for sure. Still, Byakuya being cold to Ichigo felt a bit repetitive even if it fits his character after everything that happened.

Kariya is acting so creepy and confident while walking around the Soul Society like he owns the place and it makes you want to see someone finally knock him down a peg

The Bounts managed to sneak into the Seireitei and blow stuff up which is wild but this arc is starting to drag and getting back to the main story cannot happen soon enough

I felt so annoyed when Ichigo tried to get Byakuya to join the fight and got shut down because it reminds me how stubborn the Soul Reapers can be even when their home is literally blowing up

Byakuya refusing to help Ichigo even after Rukia got hurt is so typical for him and it really shows how much he still cares about his pride over everything else

I was impressed by how Hitsugaya took charge after those explosions and his resolve to fight the Bounts makes him one of the best captains in the whole Gotei 13

Everything about these dolls and the bounts just feels so detached from the world we spent the last arc learning about

The animation for the bankai looked decent but the stakes feel so low when you know none of this has any impact on the future

Watching Koga lose was at least something happening but the story is still going in circles with Kariya and his recruitment mission

That soul society high is completely gone now because this bount stuff is a total momentum killer and just feels so unnecessary

I really tried to give this arc a chance but man it is tough when the episodes feel this slow. Seeing Hitsugaya take down Koga was okay, but then we just go right back to Kariya trying to find more followers and it feels like we have been stuck in the same spot for a month now. I just want to see the main plot again.

My brain was checking out during the whole battle because the pacing in these episodes is just dragging everything down so much

Hitsugaya deserves better than fighting these random filler villains that don't even matter to the real story

EPISODE CONTEXT

Arriving deep in the anime-original Bount arc, this episode follows the Bounts' brazen attack on the Senzaikyū — a move that effectively declared open war on the Soul Society. Episode 94 serves as the calm-before-the-storm beat, positioning Soul Society's captains for a coordinated response. The next episode escalates the conflict significantly with Captain Byakuya Kuchiki directly confronting Bount leader Jin Kariya.
