Ichigo didn't just stab himself to get through to Zangetsu; I was genuinely taken aback by the sheer willpower it took, almost like he *needed* to bleed for that connection. Honestly, seeing Tensa Zangetsu emerge with that level of dramatic flair just reminded me how epic his power is becoming.

I cannot believe Uryu just let them into Soul Society like that and his plan to use the Reishi there to fix his powers is just so typical of him

Kariya basically spent the whole fight explaining how the Soul Society messed up his people and his revenge actually makes sense compared to most filler villains

I still think Uryu opening that gate for the Bounts was crazy risky but seeing him get his Quincy powers back in Soul Society was so worth the wait

The Bounts entering the Soul Society makes the stakes feel way higher and it makes you want to see how the captains react to the invasion

It feels like a massive waste of time for Uryu to just give the villains exactly what they wanted after fighting them for so long and now everyone has to deal with the fallout

The visuals when Ichigo went Bankai were cool, but I kept thinking about how this is not even in the manga. The whole Bount arc has been such a drag and I am mostly just happy that we are moving on to the next part of the show soon. Uryu helping them open the gate was a bit of a shock though

That gate opening at the end really changed the scale of the fight and seeing everyone head to Soul Society was a solid way to wrap this part up

I really appreciated seeing the Quincy powers do something significant and opening that gateway felt like a huge turning point for the story

Having Uryu help the villains like that was honestly such a bad look, especially after how much trouble they caused everyone throughout this entire season

Ichigo using Bankai is always great to see and the visuals were pretty cool even if this whole situation is just filler content

I am so glad the Bount arc is finally over because that was such a long wait and now we can finally get back to the actual story again

Uryu actually helping the Bounts open that portal to Soul Society was a weird choice and it definitely makes you wonder what he was thinking after all that fighting

It was a total shock to see Uryu back in action with his Quincy bow, although helping the Bounts escape to the other side feels like a betrayal

Kariya basically telling Ichigo that the Soul Society is to blame for the Bounts existing adds a lot of weight to why they are so angry

I thought Ichigo was done for after Kariya beat him down again but that talk with Zangetsu changed everything and his Bankai looked awesome when he jumped back into the fight plus Ishida returning with those Quincy powers from that device Nemu gave him was such a huge moment even if letting the villains into the Soul Society felt risky

Uryu decided to open that gate to Soul Society for the Bounts, and it seems like he is just asking for a world of trouble later on

Ishida showing up in his Quincy gear with those restored powers was the best part of the episode and Nemu helping him out was a nice touch

This Bount arc might be filler but the way Kariya just dismantled Ichigo before the Bankai came back out was actually brutal to watch

Ichigo getting trashed by Kariya was painful but seeing Zangetsu show up in that mental space was cool and then that Bankai reveal felt great

EPISODE CONTEXT

Falling within the anime-original Bount arc, this episode follows Renji Abarai's Bankai reveal and shifts the spotlight to Ichigo and Uryū as the arc builds toward its climax and the eventual return to Soul Society. As a filler episode, it sits outside the manga's continuity but serves as connective tissue within the Bount storyline's escalating stakes. It sets the stage for the arc's final stretch, where alliances solidify and the conflict with the Bounts reaches a turning point.
