Rukia’s return to the human world, then immediately pulling that memory-erasing trick, totally took me back to her first days with Ichigo. I didn’t realize how much I missed that throwback, and it strangely made the whole Bount conflict feel so much more significant for me personally.

The mod souls are kind of annoying, but seeing Kon get so jealous because Rukia liked Kurodo right away was actually pretty funny

My girl is finally back and I missed this side of her personality so much, because she was way too serious during the Soul Society rescue and seeing her and Orihime hug felt so right after everything they went through and I know people say to skip the Bount stuff, but having Rukia back in Karakura Town is good watching

The reunion with Orihime was the highlight of the episode and it is nice to see the team back together even if the Bounts are not that interesting yet

Missing the comedic timing between Rukia and Ichigo was the worst part of the last season and her immediate friendship with the new mod souls is exactly the kind of chaos needed

Why does Rukia have her powers back already when she was basically human five minutes ago but at least she is finally hanging out with the group again

Somehow, Jin Kariya is already giving me a pretty strong impression as a formidable foe, which makes me wonder if this Bount storyline might surprise me, even though I'm still hesitant about whether this whole arc can actually carry the kind of emotional weight I expect from Bleach.

Those drawings Rukia throws at Ichigo are the classic Bleach energy that was missing for a while and hoping she stays around for the whole arc

I actually yelled when Rukia finally showed up and seeing her act all goofy with the drawings again made me so happy even if everyone says the Bount arc is bad

Rukia being back in the human world is the only thing keeping me going through this filler and her meeting Orihime again was so sweet

This Bount stuff is already dragging and even Rukia coming back can not save how slow the pacing feels right now compared to the actual main story

Her trying to blend in at the high school again was hilarious especially with those weird explanations and it brings so much life back to the human world scenes

It is obvious this is just filler when you see how slow the plot is moving and the new enemies do not feel as threatening as the soul reapers and the snake guy is okay but nothing special

I have mixed feelings about starting a long filler arc right now but seeing Jin Kariya and the other bounts finally make a move is keeping me interested and the way they are specifically hunting Uryu is a cool hook for his character since he lost his powers and I just hope the pacing stays decent because I really missed the group dynamic

Rukia returning to the human world just feels right and the whole substitute team being together again gives off the early season one feelings that made me love this anime in the first place

Uryu being the main target for these bount people is an interesting choice and he has been through enough already and now Jin Kariya is showing up to make things even worse for him

I felt so relieved seeing Rukia back in her school uniform, her comedy with Ichigo was the one thing I wanted to see again after the soul society arc ended

That guy Ryo using a snake as a weapon was actually pretty cool and it feels different from the usual hollow fights and seeing the group plan their next move at the shop was nice

It definitely feels like filler with this new bount group but at least the main squad is finally back together and it felt weird having them apart for so long but now they can actually fight

I missed Rukia so much and seeing her draw those weird rabbit sketches again made me happy and her acting like a normal student at school is the best part of the whole show

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 70 of 366, this lands squarely in the anime-original Bount arc that follows the conclusion of the Soul Society saga. The previous episode introduced the Bounts as a new threat, and this installment deepens that conflict while reuniting Ichigo's full team for the battles ahead. It sets the stage for escalating confrontations with the Bounts, whose schemes will continue to entangle the cast over the coming episodes.
