Urahara making the mod souls do all that just to train the group is such a classic move and at least it finally explained why they were acting so weird

Claude was kind of annoying, but Nova and those teleportation powers made the Renji fight actually worth watching

It was weird how the mod soul stuff ended so suddenly and now we are already moving on to these new Bount people

I can't believe Urahara thought he was being slick when he literally left his hat right where Ichigo could see it and blow his whole cover

Watching Ichigo try and fail to use his bankai against that clone makes it obvious he is out of practice and really needs the training

I actually felt bad for Uryu when Urahara just called him out on losing his powers in front of everyone, but seeing the Bounts finally show up makes things feel a bit more serious now. Even if this is just filler it is starting to get interesting and I really liked seeing Yoruichi and Soifon working together to investigate the new threat

The way it all turned out to be a fake game just to train Ichigo felt like a total letdown after all that build up

Nova using those portals against Renji was the coolest part of the fights and it looked way better than Ichigo fighting his own clone

I was laughing so much when Yoruichi transformed and Soifon just stood there looking awkward because she really was not ready for that

Urahara is such a prankster for making the whole thing a training exercise and Ichigo spotting that hat to expose him was a great catch

yoruichi and soifon looking into the bounts is the first time this arc has felt like it might actually go somewhere interesting instead of just playing games

finding out that urahara orchestrated the fake kidnapping makes the previous episodes feel like a chore and it is hard to care about the mod souls now

seeing urahara call him out on it was actually a cool moment for this filler episode

it felt great when Urahara finally stepped in and admitted he was behind everything because those mod soul games were really starting to get on my nerves

The Bount arc is already starting to feel slow but at least we finally know why Ririn and the others were acting so crazy. Urahara admits he was pulling the strings to test Ichigo and that reveal definitely changes the perspective on the gate challenge. It is interesting to see Yoruichi and Soifon investigating the actual villains while the kids were playing around.

those mod souls were really just a training exercise and hearing that urahara planned the whole thing makes the last few episodes feel pretty hollow honestly

the revelation that Ichigo struggles to use bankai in the human world actually caught my attention and it makes me wonder how he will handle the next threat

Urahara testing Ichigo for the upcoming fight with Aizen makes sense, but it still feels weird that he would put everyone through those irritating games just to check on a bankai.

seeing the mod soul games finally end is such a relief since those trials were dragging on and it was getting hard to stay interested in the plot

I can't believe Urahara was behind all those annoying games the whole time because it makes me feel like I just wasted my time watching Ichigo run around for nothing

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 68 sits squarely in the filler stretch between the Soul Society arc and the introduction of the Bount arc, bridging the two with an original storyline centered on the Mod-Soul trio's trials. The previous episode established the mystery of Ichigo's vanishing classmates, and this one deepens those stakes while pivoting toward the Bount threat through Yoruichi and Soi Fon's investigation. It functions as a transition point—wrapping up immediate filler challenges while laying groundwork for the anime-original Bount saga ahead.
