Jirobo talking all that trash about who is ugly only to get shredded by a Quincy was the highlight of the whole fight

Uryu shutting Jirobo up so fast was great and that new glove is really cool

I was genuinely stunned by Uryu's insane power leap against the fourth seat; it was so much more than I expected after seeing him earlier in the series. It really makes me wonder just how much more he's been hiding or if this is just a taste of his true potential.

Using sand and fireworks to beat a soul reaper was a smart play and Ganju proved that you do not need a fancy sword to win a fight

Watching Kenpachi just bust through walls because he got lost in the maze was so funny and it really shows how much he does not care about the rules of the soul society

It was a bit frustrating to see Orihime struggle because she is too kind to actually hurt anyone, and having her fairy get crushed like that was painful to watch.

Ganju actually using fireworks to beat a soul reaper is the kind of chaotic energy this show needs and Yumichika definitely did not see those explosions coming at him

Jirobo really thought he could pick on Orihime and get away with it but Uryu stepped in and absolutely humbled him with those new arrows

Uryu just bullied Jirobo because that guy was way too arrogant and seeing the new bow in action made the wait for this episode worth it for me

It is crazy how much power Uryu has with that new glove and seeing him outclass a seated officer like that was great

Jirobo deserved that loss for being so arrogant, and seeing Uryu handle him without breaking a sweat showed how much the Quincy training paid off.

You can tell Mayuri is going to be a total nightmare after the way he treated his own assistant in that one scene

Ganju beating a Soul Reaper with fireworks and sand was not what I expected at all and the look on Yumichika face was priceless

I was so sad for Orihime when she was told her attacks were half-hearted but she is just too nice of a person to want to kill anyone

Uryu looks so much faster now and it was cool seeing him shut that guy up after he started talking trash about projectile weapons

I honestly didn't think Ganju was going to pull that off against Yumichika, but seeing him use the fireworks and the sand was actually pretty clever. It was hilarious seeing Kenpachi get so annoyed at the noise from the explosion too. My favorite part though was meeting that weird Captain Mayuri, since he already seems super creepy and messed up.

Watching Uryu absolutely destroy Jirobo with that new glove was so satisfying because that guy was way too full of himself

Orihime looked so upset when Tsubaki just bounced off Jirobo and it really made me feel for her since she feels bad about fighting even when her life is on the line

Yachiru and Kenpachi are a funny duo but the way he is hunting for Ichigo makes the maze scenes feel actually dangerous

Orihime needs to figure out how to fight properly or she is going to get her fairies killed if she keeps hesitating

EPISODE CONTEXT

Deep into the Soul Society rescue arc, episode 28 follows the group's separation inside Seireitei and pivots away from Ichigo's thread to explore how Uryū and Orihime are faring against increasingly dangerous opposition. The preceding episodes established the chaos of infiltrating enemy territory; this one raises the personal stakes for two characters who will prove critical in the battles ahead. It directly sets the stage for escalating confrontations and alliances that define the arc's middle stretch.
