I really wasn't expecting Ikkaku to have such a cool weapon that splits apart like that, and honestly it made Ichigo look like he was in way over his head for a second. It was also cool seeing him stick to his warrior code after losing even though he wouldn't show his full power to a guy he didn't know yet
