Those zanpakuto flying back to their shinigami gave me such a huge sense of dramatic closure, I truly thought that was the beautiful, definitive end we'd all been waiting for. It still frustrates me to no end that the arc kept going after that, because to me, it felt like a perfectly orchestrated farewell that was then just undermined.
