You can tell this is filler because the plot is just Rurichiyo getting into trouble and Ichigo having to save her. The widescreen shift looks good though and at least the animation is still decent enough

I was not expecting that tiny assassin to murder all those guards so fast because he looked so small. It was the only part that felt like actual Bleach and not a silly comedy show

This episode was alright, but the whole arranged marriage plot with Rurichiyo feels gross, considering how young she is. Kumoi is clearly the villain and he gives off such creepy vibes every time he speaks

I think Rurichiyo is pretty annoying but seeing Kenpachi and Yachiru for a bit made me happy. That old guy Kumoi looks like trouble and his plan for a child marriage is definitely weird

Rurichiyo is so loud and she keeps running away and it makes the guards look like idiots. That tiny assassin was actually cool and he just shredded those dudes in seconds without breaking a sweat

The tea party scene felt so out of place after the Hueco Mundo stuff and this filler is starting to drag. Why is a soul reaper like Ichigo babysitting a spoiled princess and her weird guards

I can't believe they're throwing in this whole new mansion conflict right now, it feels so out of place when the Soul Society is practically on fire. But honestly, those fights in the mansion looked incredibly crisp, I gotta give them props for making a filler episode look that good even if I'm kinda annoyed by the timing.

I really didn't expect the focus to shift so dramatically to just one noble house's internal corruption, but honestly, it kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering how deep this betrayal really goes. It makes me wonder if this is just a one-off thing or if there's more rot in Soul Society than we've been led to believe.

Considering all the intense, shocking truths that usually come out in Bleach, I really thought that noble house was hiding something truly catastrophic. But then the truth came out, and I just couldn't shake this feeling of 'is that it?', leaving me a little deflated and honestly wondering if I'd built it up too much in my own head.

Where’s the big reveal with the Kasumioji family already? I swear, all the endless chatter about their secrets and this 'great evil' just had me checking the episode timer, because I was desperate for something dramatic to actually happen instead of feeling like we were stuck in neutral.

I can't believe the drama unfolding with this noble family's secrets; it makes me wonder how deep the corruption goes in the Soul Society, even if this feels like a bit of a detour right now.

Coming off such a high from the canon arc, I'm finding this sudden slump in pacing genuinely frustrating; it's hard to invest myself when everything feels like it's crawling. Honestly, a part of me keeps replaying those earlier battles in my head, and it just makes this current situation feel so painfully dull in comparison.

Ugh, I'm finding it so hard to get invested in this whole Kasumioji House drama when I was finally hyped for the main storyline to kick off again. It just feels so disjointed from the intense conflicts we usually get, and honestly, I'm just counting down the minutes until we get back to some real Soul Reaper action.

The Kasumioji mansion, I tell ya, gave me a far bigger chill than any run-of-the-mill Hollow ever could, which totally caught me off guard since I'm so used to epic fights. Its unsettling quiet and shadowed halls had me feeling like the true threat wasn't something physical, but a creeping, psychological horror that dug deep into my nerves.

Ugh, I can't believe they put the main story on hold for this new filler arc; it completely stops all the dramatic tension we'd been building up in the last few weeks, and honestly, it just feels like such a huge letdown after everything.

I can't believe how deep the Kasumioji family's political maneuvering goes; it's unsettling to think about how they've been pulling strings in plain sight, making me question everything I thought I knew about the nobility in Soul Society. This kind of hidden corruption always feels like a betrayal, you know?

Kenpachi just casually plucking that assassin out of the air was so unbelievably cool, I barely had time to process what even happened before the whole threat was gone. It seriously made me wonder what it'd take for him to actually break a sweat, he makes fighting look like such a boring chore and yet he's still so intensely terrifying.

It’s just jarring, you know? Watching Ichigo play nice, being a bodyguard for some princess at a tea party, while I’m constantly thinking about his friends putting everything on the line, literally fighting for their lives in the brutal chaos of Hueco Mundo. I can’t help but feel this intense dissonance, wondering how he can even focus on such trivialities when the stakes are so high for everyone else.

I was really just zoning out through all the silly tea party nonsense with Ichigo and Rukia and that princess, honestly, I was getting so fed up with the lack of any real danger. But then Kenpachi just materializes, silent and imposing, and completely shuts down the assassin, and for a second there, I almost forgot all my irritation because that dramatic intervention was exactly what the episode needed.

My stomach dropped a little watching Ichigo deal with those tea party formalities, knowing Chad and Uryu are probably in some life-or-death brawl out in the desert. It just highlights the intense, almost unfair, disparity of their current struggles, and I'm really worried about what kind of hell those two are enduring right now.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Continuing the anime-original New Captain Shūsuke Amagai arc, this episode follows directly from Episode 172's escalation of tensions within the Kasumioji Clan. Episode 173 deepens the internal power struggles and begins exposing the scale of the threat hidden within the noble house. It serves as critical connective tissue, setting up the larger confrontations and reveals that will drive the arc's remaining episodes forward.
