I think Ishida sneaking out of the compound was pretty classic for him and he just cannot help himself when he senses Rantao or Kariya making a move like that

You can always count on Ishida to ignore orders and go handle things his own way especially when Rantao is involved

Orihime showing up with Kira to heal everyone was exactly what the Soul Society needed after getting wrecked by the Bounts and her timing was perfect

My patience is wearing thin with this Bount stuff because the stakes feel fake and I just want to get back to the actual manga plot already

Kariya is terrifying and that confrontation with Rantao proved he has zero chill when it comes to destroying everything the Soul Reapers built

I actually liked the scene where Rantao faced off against Kariya, because it feels right that the person who made the Bounts should be the one to stop them and that Kido weapon she had was really cool and seeing the countdown start for the explosion made the Seireitei feel genuinely dangerous for once even if people say this arc is skippable

The pacing in this episode felt a bit dragged out but seeing Kariya reveal his plan to detonate the Jokaisho definitely added some much needed pressure to the situation

Watching Rantao realize she created a monster was a heavy moment, especially when those markings appeared on Kariya during their fight and now the whole countdown situation is much more personal

Hitsugaya ordering a burial for Koga was such a classy move for a captain and it shows why his squad follows him so closely even during this filler arc

Rantao pulled out that crazy gun and tried to take down Kariya but seeing those markings on his body was a total curveball and now the whole Seireitei is basically a ticking time bomb

The stakes are definitely rising now that Kariya has those explosives ready to go, and it makes the Seireitei feel genuinely vulnerable for a change

I thought it was interesting to see how Ran'Tao was responsible for the Bounts getting their powers, and her kidō gun was a weird touch that I didn't expect. I know it is filler but the stakes with the Jōkaishō getting detonated across Soul Society finally makes this arc feel like it has some actual weight behind it before the final fight starts

Watching Ran'Tao face Kariya alone was brave but that backstory about her creating the dolls is pretty heavy

Ran'Tao pulling out that kidō gun was actually cool even if it looks a bit out of place for Bleach so I liked that part

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting deep in the anime-original Bount arc, episode 105 follows Hitsugaya's intense battle with Gō Koga and pivots toward the emotional and strategic groundwork for the final confrontation with Kariya. It functions as a narrative bridge — filling in critical character backstory for Kariya and Ran'Tao while raising the tension before the arc's climactic episodes. As a filler installment, it's skippable for viewers following only canon material, but it's a necessary setup piece for anyone committed to seeing the Bount storyline through.
