Uryu finally landing that monstrous blow on Yoshi after all his control issues was such a relief, I seriously thought he'd be stuck struggling the whole fight. But then Kariya just *absorbs* that Jokaisho thing in the research department, and my stomach dropped – this is looking way more dire for the Soul Society than I originally thought.

the ending bit with mayuri being carried by ichigo was such a weird change of pace from the serious stuff with kariya and the quincy bangle but it worked for some reason

the whole plot with kariya breaking into the research institute to grab the jokaisho is moving pretty fast and it makes you wonder what the soul society is even doing right now, ishida trying to handle that exploding quincy power is definitely the best part of the episode though even if he might lose his powers forever after this battle with yoshi
