The long awaited royal knights selection exam begins in this episode! With so many teams lined up, many plot points feel laid out already, even before anything starts. I'm particularly invested in the sibling wars, and the "rivals" facing off against one another!

the crystal destruction rules for this test are way better than a basic tournament, since it means we get to see actual team strategies and weird magic combos

asta mimosa and that weird fake xerx guy is such a bizarre team but seeing mimosa get all flustered about being next to asta was the highlight

I was not expecting xerx to be some random imposter who just showed up to talk trash but he definitely fits right in with the black bulls energy, and mimosa showing off those new offensive spells was a great touch too. Her face when she realized she was on astas team made me laugh because she is so obvious about it now

my boy finral really got a fresh haircut just to try and act cooler and stop being a coward during this tournament and it worked because he looks great

solid silva is still being the absolute worst to noelle but noelle looking so determined to crush him after what mereoleona said felt so good

yuno and noelle being on the same team is going to be such a power trip and watching them figure out how to work together is going to be a lot to handle

mimosa being a little more aggressive with her magic and her feelings for asta is exactly the kind of energy this tournament needs to keep things interesting

I cant believe that bandaged guy just disrespected the wizard king like that and julius just let it happen because he thought it was funny and cool

zora just casually sleeping while the wizard king talks is the most black bull thing ever even if he isnt technically in the squad yet

I cannot get over that bandaged guy Zora beating the actual Xerx so easily and I am wondering why Julius is just letting an impostor join the tournament without saying anything

Noelle standing her ground when Solid tried to look down on her again was so cool and she looks much more confident now after that training with Mereoleona

Zora basically just walked in and destroyed a Vice-Captain like it was nothing and then took his clothes which was so cool

I really need to know what that Zora guy is planning because he is so rude and the way he just sat on the actual Vice Captain was insane and he definitely has that Black Bull energy about him so it makes me think he might not be a total villain especially since Julius is just watching him and smiling the whole time

Zora having those sharp teeth and being so disrespectful to the captains makes him stand out so much and his ash magic seems way different than anything the other knights are using

The Crystal Destruction Battle is a cool change from the usual one on one fights and seeing how Noelle might finally get to humble Solid during the tournament is really satisfying
