Mereolena's talk with Noelle was unexpectedly rich in emotional material. I only realized after that scene that Noelle never truly got to know her mother! Also, the two look way too alike, it's almost uncanny..

Oh! The hot spring peeping segment was just a little bit unnecessary.. Very fanservice. While it wasn't purely filler the funny moments felt like it.

Damnn, Asta's new magical abilities were so cool! Both visually and in concept. When it was first introduced in the Witch Village, it looked so OP! I thought it would've been harder for him to unlock the ability. (given the queen was the one who helped that time)

I think Mereoleona punching Asta out of the sky was the best part of the whole training session and her mentioning Noelle mother made me want to see more of Acier past

The hot springs peeping stuff with Yami and the Crimson Lions felt really weird and out of place after such a cool moment with Asta power up

Asta using Ki to pull that anti magic out on purpose shows how much he learned from Yami and it looks way better than him just getting lucky during a fight

yami telling the boys to peep was actually so gross and it really messed up his character because he usually feels like a better mentor than that weirdness

i was so hyped seeing asta finally pull out the black form on his own by using ki and it shows how far he has come since training with yami

Asta using ki to sense the energy inside his own body was such a brilliant way to handle his growth and seeing him fly past Yuno even for a second felt like a huge win for everyone who has been rooting for him since the start even if the animation on the black form looked a bit flat and weird compared to the manga art

Mereoleona is basically a force of nature and she makes every scene better with her wild training style

Mereoleona dragging everyone to a volcano just to make them stronger is the most Black Bulls thing ever even if she isn't their captain

I thought Asta using ki on himself to pull out the anti-magic was such a smart move and it felt great to see him finally get that form under control for a bit
