The animation quality dropped during the big ritual scene and it made the climax feel a bit cheap compared to how good the first few episodes looked

Seeing the original Walpurgis Night events mentioned again made the whole spear plot feel much more connected to the past and the ending was just bleak

The mystery aspect was the best part of this series, but the way they handled the Spear of Longinus at the very end felt like a weird pivot to fantasy

I really didnt think they would go that dark with the reproduction ritual, but Imari getting caught in the middle of it was such a callback to her past. The way the Tokken investigation collided with the cult was messy and chaotic, but seeing the Spear of Longinus actually used made the whole wait worth it for the franchise fans

The carbonized genitals thing was such a weird hook and when you see the cult leader finally explain why they were doing that it was actually pretty chilling

My skin crawled during the final ritual scene and seeing the way the spear actually worked was way more graphic than I expected from a detective show

The ending felt rushed and the whole spear of longinus reveal did not have enough buildup to make it feel as scary as the original series stuff

The detective stuff with Tokken dragged a bit and the carbonized bodies stopped being scary after you saw them for the third time so the middle section felt slow

Seeing Imari back in that ritual room felt so wrong but so right after all these years and the way the cult plot finally wrapped up was dark as hell

I still cant believe they brought back the magic circle from the original show and seeing Imari lose her mind at the end really messed me up

the way the occult themes tie back to the original series makes the whole reproduction plot feel much more dangerous and high stakes

seeing that cult leader manipulate everyone with the spear of longinus was chilling and the animation for the ritual scenes looked surprisingly sharp

the investigation parts dragged on forever and the show needs more focus on the supernatural horror elements rather than just watching detectives talk in rooms

I felt so uncomfortable seeing the carbonized corpses and the cult rituals are getting way too weird even for this show

Imari being back and dealing with these charred bodies is just so grim and the cult stuff with the spear actually feels like a real mystery for once

the reveal of what the cult actually wants with the spear of longinus was such a heavy moment and the visuals for the reproduction scene were haunting

I finally caught up and seeing the Spear of Longinus being used for these insane reproduction rituals was a lot to process after the slow start, the way Imari looks at the crime scenes shows she knows exactly how bad things are going to get, and that dark ambient music when they found the carbonized bodies really set the mood well

imari trying to piece together the connection between the burnt genitals and the ritual was actually pretty intense and that ending was grim

you can really feel the tension when the cult members are chanting around the spear and it really nails that old school occult horror vibe

My head was spinning seeing how the new ritual designs look because they really stepped up the dark atmosphere compared to the older seasons

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off 'Rejection,' which pushed alliances to their breaking point and sharpened the conflict between key factions, 'Reproduction' is the payoff episode for the entire New Testament arc. All six episodes have been building toward the confrontations and resolutions delivered here, making this the least skippable entry in the run. As the series finale, it closes out the overarching storyline while leaving enough thematic texture to suggest the world of Bible Black extends beyond this chapter.
