Such an exciting episode. The fight between Musashi and Retsu is really intense and keeps you hooked the whole time. The narration kind of takes away some of the tension though—it doesn’t always match the mood of the scene.

The intense fight and how the audience reacts to it are really unexpected, since both of the characters are good at fighting, which really gives a more intense sequel to the story, especially for the next fight. The action scene of this anime cliffhanger, but still, I'm waiting.

Even though the tone stays intense, the delivery style with all of the narration takes away from the pacing of Baki's inner monologue that drag, and making the pacing change whenever Baki goes around and around the same point.

This guy is quite humble the way he could literally finish anyone off in one strike

Baki’s internal monologue takes center stage as he tries to process a style of combat that ignores the rules of the Underground Arena. As intriguing as it is, his internal monologue just gets me. Maybe it's how he sounds or seems to take too much time from getting to the point that irks me really bad.

Whatever tension was building up last time got sucker punched out of this episode. Absolute whiplash.

The jump between preparation and the match was unexpected, as the two contrasted one another so much!

The choice to allow weapons definitely steered the fight in a different direction. Interested to see where it will and can go.

The action was a highlight; a tumultuous back and forth between both sides, making the winner unpredictable. Just when one is gaining the upper hand, it becomes balanced again.

A surprisingly layered installment. It balances spectacle with quiet character moments, giving the arc a bit more breathing room before things spiral further. What will happen? It's for me to find out lol

The tension and thrill were delivered perfectly. This battle really gives off the feeling that both opponents are on equal footing. So… what will the outcome be?

We get to see the differences the rule changes had in this episode, like how each side now has expanded strategies on how to win the fight. The action scenes look even more extreme than before.

Trademark Baki: graphic animation with exaggerated and inhumane move sets. People will either love it or hate it, but this episode is definitely one of the best ones in this season with the return of the arena setting. The atmosphere itself just hits different.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Watch this episode for the brutal, unpredictable Musashi versus Retsu fight, delivering relentless action and building intense anticipation for what comes next.
