Great set up episode for plugging the wall. Mixed emotions from everyone but feels real

A tense character-focused episode where panic and responsibility collide under extreme circumstances.

The episode balances battlefield pressure with psychological instability, showing how fear affects leadership and trust.

More focus on planning and morale. Some characters step up, others hesitate—it feels realistic. Not the most exciting episode, but important for what’s coming next.

That was a great plan. I think it is effective that they did that. Doing helps them more to strengthen their power and it felt strategic and intense

The episode really built up my hopes for their plan to succeed, especially after Pixis’ speech. I truly love Armin’s strategies, he always seems to think a step ahead of everyone else. I just hope the next episodes show their plan succeeding since they were all so hopeful.

I like that the strategy finally steps in as we begin to see intelligence, not just emotion, shaping the outcomes. This episode was awesome especially because of Pixis. He kept the plot moving at an extremely satisfying way. So i hope to see more of him.

I was expecting more action in this episode. But there wasn't, I do think it's a filler/build up for what's going to happen next. Dot gave a motivating speech for the soldiers. I felt his emotions which made me feel like I am one of them!

Pixis is such a weird guy with his flask and that crazy speech but he actually stopped those soldiers from leaving which was impressive

The way the military discipline was just falling apart until Pixis mentioned the civil war stuff really shows how scared everyone is of the titans

I can't believe Eren actually tried to kill Mikasa when we were so close to getting that boulder moved

I felt so sick when that green flare went up and then Eren just completely lost his mind and swung at Mikasa

Seeing Daz hyperventilating like that felt so real because you can tell the soldiers are more scared of the titans than they are of being executed for deserting and I dont even blame them

The way Pixis just lied to everyone about Eren being a secret military project was such a bold move to keep them from panicking even if it was a total fabrication

Pixis drinking from that flask while everyone else is losing their minds below him really shows how much of a weirdo he is but he still got those guys to stop running away

The conversation between Pixis and Eren on the wall about humanity being divided was actually pretty bleak, especially since those guys were literally fighting each other on the ground just minutes before

I actually screamed when Eren tried to punch Mikasa because we were all counting on him to move that rock and now everything is just a total mess

That punch from titan Eren really caught me off guard and now the whole plan to use the boulder is basically dead before it even started

I was holding my breath when they jumped off the wall and the city was so quiet and then that green flare went up and everything just went south immediately

Ian making the call to put Mikasa on the protection squad was the only thing that made sense because everyone else would have just been flattened when Eren turned

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the midpoint of the Battle for Trost arc, episode 11 follows directly from the strategic groundwork laid in 'Response: The Battle for Trost (6),' where Eren's abilities became central to a desperate plan. This episode focuses on the human cost of executing that plan — the politics, fear, and leadership required — setting the stage for 'Wound: The Battle for Trost (8)' and the arc's climactic confrontation. At nearly the halfway mark of season one's 25 episodes, this is where the series transitions from establishing its world's horror to testing whether its characters can actually fight back.
