Hajime, Rirui, and the others watch this display with varying degrees of exasperation and fascination. Veronica receives his praise with a pleased, confident smirk, fully aware of her effect.

Tanya explains to Hajime that the Mayor is one of Veronica's regulars, correcting herself from calling him a 'sucker.' The Mayor, meanwhile, becomes serious, asking Veronica about rumors of her adventuring. Veronica then launches into a dramatic, sweeping explanation, claiming she ventures forth out of curiosity and a desire to understand her 'fine-feathered fellows' who frequent her establishment, moving the Mayor to tears.

Yanago's Mayor weeps a dramatic farewell to Veronica, who waves goodbye with a polite smile. Once he departs, Veronica exchanges a knowing glance with Tanya, acknowledging their shared act. Tanya asks Veronica about her plans, expressing genuine gratitude for Veronica having saved her life and given her work. Veronica then feigns dramatic tears, pretending Tanya wants her gone, only to burst into laughter and admit she was 'only messing with you, Tanya,' who visibly deflates with relief.

A treasure chest overflowing with gold, jewels, potions, and sparkling weapons is displayed in the tavern. Mikan exclaims at the glittering objects, and Rirui gazes in amazement.
