VerifiedNaruko is such a fun addition to the cast 😆 His loud personality brings a completely different energy, and every scene with him feels entertaining. I also like how the episode mixes comedy with cycling without making either one feel out of place. Before I realized it, the episode was already over. Time really flies when watching this series.
VerifiedAt some point, Shoukichi was right. He's firm with his beliefs, which is a nice quality of a character in a story. We get to know Sakoukichi more in this episode. Sakamichi's helmet was funny tho. I do think that this is the start for Sakamichi.
EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off the rear slope race in Episode 3 where Onoda's raw climbing talent turned heads, Episode 4 pivots from proving individual ability to forging the connections that will define the team going forward. Naruko's introduction marks a critical piece of the puzzle, shifting the narrative from Onoda's solo journey toward the ensemble dynamics that drive the rest of the 38-episode season. This is early groundwork, still only episode 4 of a long ride, but it sets up relationships that become the emotional backbone of every race to come.
