To those who haven't seen the key visual or have skipped both the OP and ED would be surprised by this development 🤔. The shifting art style is surprisingly well-integrated, as it never feels jarring or remotely odd. Rather, it works hand in hand with the emotions and atmosphere of each scene, adding a unique visual touch to the episode. Given the developments in this episode, I am interested to see how the story will continue to unfold moving forward.

P.S. I would also like to know how Aya manages to sleep for such a short period yet wake up feeling completely recharged 🤭

i absolutely love the palpable tension in this episode. This kind of voice from Sayaka Senbongi as Yuu Inui is my favorite. I am also impressed by Shino Shimoji's voice as Tamaki Ichinose - being the biggest factor in creating such a tense scene.

Ah yes CGDCT out of nowhere, not complaining! Seems like all of them has been corrupted. Can't wait for the local tournament arc!

The transition from Tamaki being a total coward to her becoming a manic Juri main, who literally lives for the offensive impact, was terrifying and hilarious.

Aya telling a prefect that weak people have no right to speak while forcing her to hit ten combos in a row was the most power move ever

I lost it when Yu started crying because she just wanted to vibe and play instead of being the lookout all night

My heart actually broke for Tamaki when she started crying over her rank and points because that ladder anxiety is so real

The introduction of two new girls was good. More SF6 and that’s all.

The reveal that the dorm monitors are also breaking the rules was hilarious. This anime continues to be a love letter to fighting games wrapped in rich-girl nonsense LMAOOO

Aya and Mio moving to first-name basis while forming an underground fighting game club? The yuri stocks are absolutely soaring. Every episode somehow gets more chaotic, and I'm completely here for it.

Nothing brings people together faster than committing crimes over Street Fighter 6. Between horror movie fake-outs, secret midnight matches, and hidden gamer alliances, this might be one of the funniest episodes yet.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 2 established that Aya and Mio want to keep playing despite the risk of discovery, and Episode 3 raises the practical cost of that choice by expanding their world to include dormitory enforcers Yu Inui and Tamaki Ichinose. This episode pivots the series from a two-person dynamic toward an ensemble foundation, broadening the social circle that will carry the season forward. It feeds directly into Episode 4, which continues the late-night academy setting and the consequences of building a secret gaming community inside school walls.
