Following the destruction of the Heart Tree and the Cures' audacious concert invitation to Darkine in the previous episode, this installment erupts into all-out war as Darkine answers with her shadowy forces. Serving as the climactic bridge of the final arc, it clears the battlefield and repositions each Cure for the endgame, funneling Uta toward the isolated, one-on-one showdown the season has been building toward. Everything here is setup for the series finale, Episode 49 carries the full weight of resolution.
