I thought this was just going to be another silly short about testing products but the way Saki and Unjo handled that reckoning in the apartment really got to me and it makes their connection feel so much deeper now even though the five minute runtime usually makes things feel a bit rushed it worked for this specific climax today

unjo showing that side of himself during their big argument changed how the whole show feels and the tension kept me focused the entire time

how the drama hit in just five minutes was actually impressive and it made the relationship between Saki and Unjo feel way more real than before

having them finally have that emotional talk made the whole season worth it even if the episode was way too short to breathe properly

I really felt for Saki when she confronted Unjo about how they actually feel because that whole condom tester setup makes things so messy and confusing between them

I was wondering if they would ever address the power dynamic, and that talk in the apartment finally gave Saki the agency she needed to speak her mind

That conversation where Sudou and Saki finally acknowledged their bond was handled with a lot more care than you would expect from this genre and it makes the ending feel earned. The boss acting like a real person instead of just a trope was a great choice for the penultimate episode especially with that heavy conversation they had in the room

Sudou stopping his demon boss act to listen to Saki made me happy because it actually made their connection feel genuine for the first time

Saki trying to keep things professional while falling for Sudou is so relatable and that ending left things in such a tense spot for the last episode

Some of the dialogue felt a bit repetitive compared to the last few weeks but the transition from the comedy to the actual romance was handled pretty well overall

The chemistry between Saki and her boss is intense, and the way he looked at her during that quiet moment really showed how much the dynamic has shifted recently

It was tough seeing Saki get so in her head about the boss because she clearly wants more than just a physical connection with him at this point

That scene in the bedroom where things finally got serious felt like a massive payoff for all the teasing and Sudou is actually being sweet for once

I thought this was just for laughs but the way Sudou actually cares about Saki during that talk makes this feel so much more real than most short series like this

Saki admitting she is in over her head with the feelings for the boss was the heavy moment this show needed before the finale arrives next week

sudou being so blunt about his needs makes for some crazy tension, and saki can barely keep up with him at this point

watching them struggle with the review process is hilarious because the boss is so serious about it and saki is just dying of embarrassment

the way the boss keeps his cool while saki is a total mess is my favorite dynamic and this episode really turned up the heat

saki looking so defeated by the end of this one really sucked because you can tell she is starting to catch feelings for her boss

I cannot believe Sudou actually said that to her after everything they just did and it made me so mad for Saki

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at episode 7 of 8, this is effectively the climax of XL Joushi.'s single-cour run. The prior six episodes have steadily deepened Saki and Unjo's relationship, building both comedic and intimate momentum. This episode appears to force a pivotal emotional reckoning before the finale closes things out in episode 8.
