Shouta is acting like a completely different person now and he is really leaning into the power of being one of the last men on earth

Reito is the only one with any actual willpower in this show and he just keeps searching for Elisa while everyone else treats the situation like a joke or a game

Bringing up that blonde girl who bullied Shota in the past just to get him to do what Karen wants was such a low move and he is totally falling for it

Watching Shota act like a complete jerk to those girls shows how much power has gone to his head and he really has no idea that Karen is the one in control

I was actually pretty moved by the attendant and her sister protecting Reito from that assassin because it was the first time someone cared about him as a human being

That scene where Shota realizes he is just being used as an object was rough but he still keeps falling for Karen and her obvious lies every single time

It feels weird seeing Shota act like this, because his transformation into a hedonistic bully is so jarring when you realize Karen is just using his trauma against him. I knew she was bad news but lying about her friends going to America just to hide them in a hospital is next level devious and she really has him trapped

Karen lied about her friends being sent to America and seeing them in the hospital instead makes her even more suspicious than she already was with the way she treats Shota like a pawn

It was wild seeing Reito almost get assassinated, and his new attendant actually stepped up to protect him for a selfless reason instead of just following orders for once

The way Shota is acting like a bully now is hard to watch and he has no clue that Karen is pulling all the strings from the background

I am still surprised that Reito keeps turning everyone down because the temptation in that world is just everywhere but seeing him stay loyal to Elisa even with Mira pushing him is impressive

The mystery about the missing doctors makes the whole MK virus situation feel much more like a setup and Reito is finally asking the right questions about who was working on the cure

Natsu moving in as the new roommate and immediately going for it with Shota surprised me and then the school just starts blowing up right after that happened and I feel like the situation is actually dangerous now because people are trying to kidnap him and the whole conspiracy with those missing doctors is finally starting to reveal the truth about the virus

Doy is getting way too comfortable with his power and seeing him get that aggressive was a massive change from how he started out

Karen telling Shota he is basically a prisoner at that school until graduation is such a cold move and she is clearly planning something huge with those girls

I thought Rea's sister was definitely the one behind the hit on Reito so seeing her jump in and save him actually shocked me

Those girls really tried to corner Reito and he just ends up sleeping like a log while they lay there and it is such a bizarre way to end things

Seeing Shota stop caring and just embrace the girls even though Karen is obviously playing him like a toy makes the school arc feel so depressing
blastoise_303's avatar

The conspiracy side of the show is finally picking up and I feel much more invested now that we know about those doctors. It feels weird that Reito faints just because Akane tried to seduce him, but the new guards are actually there to protect him from the assassins, and those girls who wont take no for an answer.

I am starting to get annoyed that Reito keeps passing out during the important scenes because it feels like a cheap way to avoid the actual plot for another week

EPISODE CONTEXT

Following 'Intertwining Plots,' where Reito pushes deeper into uncovering the truth behind the MK virus, this episode steps sideways to develop Shouta as a parallel lens on the male experience in this new world order. At episode 7 of 11, the series is past its midpoint and beginning to expand its ensemble perspective before converging storylines. It directly sets up 'Revenge,' where Shouta's arc turns noticeably darker, making this a crucial transitional episode that establishes stakes before consequences arrive.
