The tension keeps building. The mystery surrounding the cave grows deeper. The sense of unease never really goes away.

Another great episode. I really enjoyed the fact that magic isn’t the only thing that can help people around you the words and actions can do that as well and we see that we each in every witch on this test. I love the theme of importance of doing things you want to do it through and through.

Persistent Richeh attitude. The episode focuses on the test and the challenges they face.
Showing their growth with some comedic innocence.

Overall - Cliffhanger, 8/10

While I have thoroughly enjoyed this anime and consider it a 9/10 so far, the pacing takes a heavy hit this episode, as it primarily goes over a single obstacle in the way and how the new character's internal struggles end up manifesting externally as a result. The writing is compelling, but I wish the sequence had been more concise so this episode could have covered more ground. Other than that, the visual representation of the solution is, as the rest of the anime, top notch.

Some of the characters finally shows their great development in this episode. The pace is not that fast but the plot progresses. And the plot twist at the end leaves you curious about the final episode.

Me pareció un buen episodio, no hay 1 sola forma correcta de hacer las cosas. La premisa para lo que viene en el siguiente episodio es muy interesante.

The dialogue in this episode is horrible, the repetition of the same line over and over again is too much. The conversation doesn't feel like an actual conversation and more like a theatre piece someone wrote to tell the audience again and again the same point over and over.

Richeh's backstory is also good. It shows why it's important for her to be unique and not just conform to what others expect.

Richeh is just so cute! That pout of hers hit me right in the kokoro. Kidding aside, you can truly see how much Agott has grown so far. She seems much more compassionate now than she was before.

The episode focused on the episode and showed Richeh scenes with strong character growth. It was slow but kept us hooked. Early hints of trouble then a big surprise ending left us shocked

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the penultimate episode of the season, Episode 12 consolidates the consequences of everything set in motion since Coco first stepped into the forbidden world of witchcraft. Building directly off the trials and tensions of Episode 11, it positions the apprentices at a critical crossroads rather than a resolution. The finale still lies ahead, but this episode does the heavy lifting — ensuring the emotional and narrative stakes are fully established before the season closes.
