I’ve given this episode of five stars because they gave a side character, the attention of a main character. I love when the series take a side character that I don’t care about and make them one of my favorite characters later on this episode absolutely did that. I also love the theme of how a disability doesn’t make it a weakness.

The episode is calm and slightly emotional, with good pacing.
It can feels like a supporting character development episode, but it is enjoyable and interesting.

Overall — character development: 7/10

The episode's pace is just right but the plot doesn't really progress much. This episode also shows the development of Tartah's character. Even though not much happened, this episode is still enjoyable.

Un episodio muy bonito para apreciar las virtudes propias. Me gusta mucho que le hayan dado oportunidad a Tartar de descubrir cosas nuevas 💙

Didnt like the switcharoo at at the beginning where certain question isnt asked first, even with the question asked after, it didnt change whether it was asked before or after. I also had to suspend my disbelief when Qifrey did not made sure someone specifically is left behind to take care of coco before going off to help with a fire especially with how important coco is to him.

Don't feel like the relationship building deserve it either. Didn't feel they build it properly.
Overall feels like a filler episode in the end.

Coco and Tartah also have great chemistry. Because of Coco's natural kindness and positivity, Tartah's fear of her weaknesses gradually diminishes.

Tartah's moments gave me goosebumps. They weren't even that epic by typical standards, but the direction and overall craftsmanship was so perfect that I was completely entranced. The subtle details in the animation were absolutely beautiful.

Coco my sweet sweet daughter ughh, she's absolutely the sweetest character ever. I mean, her decision to put others before her is so sweet :C to be fair I would hope everyone in her spot would do the exact same but yk JUST LET ME YAP ABOUT MY CHILD RQ. Tartah is also another sweet child, tbh everyone child in this anime is- but oml the author did such a good job writing them. I hate the fact that Tartah couldn't be a witch just because of his condition, it's so saddening to see, even more when witches look down on him. Honestly? I think despite it all, he should go for it. He may start out slower than others and having more disadvantages, but I think he can do it. Why not right? I don't think people should let their condition/disability to stop them from doing. And? I think Coco did exactly that, she showed Tartah that despite his condition- he can overcome it. Coco wanted to do magic to bring happiness to people, and she did that too. Gosh I love their relationship omg THEY'RE SO FKING CUTE AHHH

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 10 arrives just after a high-stakes stretch centered on Coco's physical deterioration, offering a deliberate emotional cooldown that widens the world's thematic scope. By spotlighting Tartah and the concept of Silverwash, the series broadens its argument about ability, belonging, and the rigid structures of magical society. With only three episodes remaining, this character-building interlude feels positioned to pay dividends — seeding the resilience and redefined purpose that the finale stretch will likely demand.
