Askeladd operating in France with Thorfinn as his instrument is a grimly effective partnership. The duel reward system keeping Thorfinn leashed is brilliant character design. A lean, propulsive episode.

Thorfinn has grown into a brutal young lad! Fierce in combat and absolutely lethal. Good work in showing his naivete along with brutality and courage from his father's legacy. Revenge drives him. Good chunk of history without being boring. Love it.

Faced paced action episode with amazing animation. Thorfinn is becoming a badass but also losing himself. It's satisfying to see him become a warrior yet sad to see the lengths he would go in pursuit for his goal to challenge Askeladd,.

What an action packed episode. Its amazing how fast Thorfinn become strong as a warrior. This show his unrivaled dedication in avenging his father. We can also see how great Askeladd is, his intelligence and tactical thinking guide the group's actions.

The animation was mixed with CGI and the ship sailing at the end looks like it's floating. Nonetheless, the fighting scenes were good and that clean cut was badass. Naruto, Roronoa, and Levi's presence was in it, too. The application and pacing of the humors are perfectly placed.
