vanessa_valkyrie_142★★★☆☆EP 1My attention stayed on the phone call scene because their reactions were all so different and the animation in that segment actually looked decent
Yuu Arahama already has a disaster waiting to happen: five girlfriends who don't know about each other, and that disaster finally arrives when one of them, Misako, decides she wants to get married and forces him to call all four of the others over at the same time. What follows is exactly the awkward confrontation you'd expect: five women in a room, one guy with nowhere to hide, and a lot of unresolved feelings suddenly very much on the table. The 4-episode OVA from Collaboration Works, based on a visual novel, leans hard into its hentai roots while threading in some genuine drama around the question of what these women actually want from Yuu and what he wants from any of them. Each of the girls has a distinct personality and her own reasons for being involved with him, which keeps things from feeling completely one-note. It's not deep relationship drama, but it's not purely mechanical either, but there's a bit of tension and even some humor in watching the situation unravel. If you've seen Sexfriend and wanted something with a slightly larger cast dynamic, or if Hensuki's messy relationship chaos appealed to you, this scratches a similar itch. Just go in knowing what it is: a short, explicit OVA that does a decent job building out its setup before getting to the point.

steven_stone_327★★☆☆☆EP 1Yuu is kind of a jerk for trying to keep his freedom while leading everyone on, and the way they all just accepted the marriage war was too unrealistic
aizen_antagonist★★★★☆EP 1It was wild how the girls decided to just turn this into a competition instead of leaving him and the gym scene had me hooked
iono_363★★★☆☆EP 1Animation looks a bit dated but seeing all five girls find out about each other at the exact same time was pretty funny
penny★★★★☆EP 1Rejecting that proposal after the opening scene was such a move and the way Misako immediately made him call the other girls was so chaotic
izanagi_idol_15★★★☆☆EP 1Yuu just wanting to avoid marriage while getting five different girls to fight over him is such a trashy concept and it works well for what it is
tabun_titan★★★★☆EP 1That scene where Misako makes him admit everything is so tense and the way the girls immediately start competing is pure chaos
betobeto_san★★★★☆EP 1My favorite part of the episode had to be the massive phone call where all the secrets came out, because the chaos was very entertaining. It is wild that Yuu thinks he can keep his freedom when he has five different women, including Kotori and Aina, fighting over him. The animation quality surprised me during the bedroom scenes and I liked the character variety.
marluxia_454★★★★☆EP 1It weirded me out how fast these girls went from being betrayed to wanting to marry the guy and the logic is definitely lacking in this one
james_345★★★★☆EP 1The premise is pretty typical for a visual novel adaptation, but seeing Ryouko and the others react to the news at the same time was a good hook.
kiawe★★★★☆EP 1The character designs for the five girls are distinct and the animation during the more intense scenes is definitely better than most other series in this category
rei_hino_373★★★★☆EP 1The way all five girls just decided to turn a cheating scandal into a full on marriage war is actually hilarious and the art style is really solid too
kitto_katsu★★★☆☆EP 1Yuu is a total piece of work for trying to juggle five separate relationships at the same time and the girls have every right to be mad
unohanas_unbeaten★★★☆☆EP 1Most shows would have a huge drama arc about the cheating but here they just jump straight into the competition and the pacing is very fast
ami_mizuno★★★★☆EP 1I felt so bad for Misako when she got rejected right after proposing but her idea to call all the other girls was a total power move
gobta_goblin_154★★★☆☆EP 1You would think a guy having five different partners would get caught way sooner but Yuu managed to keep them all in the dark until Misako forced his hand and now it is a total war
wiseman_381★★★★☆EP 1My favorite thing about the first episode was how Ryouko and the others just accepted the challenge immediately instead of dumping him because the art style really carries the whole premise
mikasa_ackerman★★★☆☆EP 1Seeing all five girls realize they were being played and then immediately pivoting to a tournament to marry the guy is such trashy logic and it makes the scenes way funnier
yanari_yurei★★★★☆EP 1Watching Misako go from a romantic proposal to organizing a wife competition is the most chaotic start to a series ever and the character designs are actually decent
farnese_de_vandimion★★★★☆EP 1I cannot believe Yuu really called all five girls at the same time and just let them fight over him like that while he just wants to stay single and keep his freedom
