That transition from the beach to the private room felt a bit rushed but the voice acting for Matsuri during the climax sounded very grounded and real

I got a good laugh when Matsuri started obsessing over the food and then Kaito just made everything worse by being there in the room

The visual quality during the pool scene definitely improved from the last episode and Matsuri has way more personality than I expected for a side character

Watching Kaito try to manage the resort while Matsuri is basically starving herself for that diet made for some really tense moments in the break room

I think the way Matsuri handled that whole diet situation was pretty wild and that one scene in the kitchen actually caught me off guard because of the lighting

The pacing was much better this time, especially since Matsuri and Kaito already had that history to build on right from the start

This resort setting makes every encounter feel like a vacation and Matsuri breaking her diet for Kaito was a nice touch for her character

Character designs for Matsuri are definitely the best so far and the whole warrior theme she has going on made the fanservice scenes feel unique

Matsuri trying to act all tough and serious while Kaito kept teasing her about that food was easily the highlight for me

I really liked how Matsuri's chapter played out compared to the premiere, and her constant complaining about the diet made the transition into the actual spicy scenes feel a lot more earned. The resort vibes at A LO HA are still great, and it makes me wonder which girl from his past is going to show up next

The way Matsuri talks about being a warrior while clearly just wanting to eat is great and her chemistry with Kaito feels very natural

Having Matsuri try to be a warrior while starving is such a mood and her losing that battle against Kaito was a lot of fun to watch

Watching Matsuri fail her diet so quickly because of Kaito was really funny and that ending scene was definitely a step up from last time

Every bit of that slippery diet scene lived up to the title and the animation for Matsuri looked way better than the first episode

I thought Matsuri was going to stick to her diet but then Kaito showed up and everything went out the window and it was hilarious

Seeing Matsuri lose her cool over a simple diet plan was pretty funny and the animation during the pool sequence looked surprisingly fluid for an ova

The way Kaito just happens to run into all these girls from his past at the same resort is total wish fulfillment but Matsuri has the best chemistry so far

That slippery oil scene in the middle of the episode was way more intense than anything in the first chapter and the lighting made the resort look great

I really liked seeing a more athletic girl like Matsuri get flustered and her reactions during the gym scene felt a lot more grounded than the usual stuff

Matsuri trying to stay in shape while being surrounded by all that resort food is such a mood and seeing her struggle before giving in to Kaito was hilarious

EPISODE CONTEXT

Following episode one's introduction of Hanabi Hinata, this second episode pivots entirely to Matsuri Aoi, effectively giving each central character their own dedicated chapter. Positioned as the middle entry of three, it expands the series' scope by fleshing out Matsuri's perspective and motivations. What it establishes here is expected to feed directly into the third and final episode's resolution.
