I love the amount of attention the production has given for the characters and entwining their connection to the world, even the minor ones. Not only does it further our understanding of Vash, but it also helps us feel more immersed into the plot. The tension feels intense all throughout as Vash weaves his way out of this mess as best as he could, confronting the uglier side of humanity, and by the end it all works perfectly.
