Train to the End of the World

Pontaro steals Yoka in an armored train. the final confrontation is EVERYTHING. the resolution of Shizuru and Yoka's friendship? the way it ties back to the first episode? I'm emotional. 🌅

the surreal atmosphere in this episode was something else. the animation on the abandoned ikebukuro station was haunting, and the giant daruma just watching them? creepy. the fight scene between shizuru and the bald guy was surprisingly intense too. 😰

Shizuru's dad and uncle show up as... manga mascots? they talk like cute characters but something is OFF. the dad saying "I'm fine with dying cause I got to see you one last time"? that HIT. 😢

Yoka POV EPISODE. she wakes up in Ikebukuro and it's completely WRONG. she's been with Pontaro this whole time the guy who made her activate 7G. the timelines are finally connecting. Yoka's witch outfit? iconic. 🧙

Reimi was SO excited to reach her favorite anime town. but when they get there? it's all wrong. the villains won. Reimi is heartbroken. this episode is surprisingly deep. 🎭

ZOMBIE QUEEN ARC LET'S GO. Mito Kuroki is UNHINGED. Akira reading erotica to distract zombies? Kuroki flipping up her skirt to short-circuit them? this episode is absolutely BONKERS. 😭

the emotional weight in this episode was heavy. watching nadeshiko call shizuru out for being insensitive? rough. the flashback showing yoka's dream of astronomy and shizuru shutting her down? yikes. the zombie fight was fun but the real tension was between the girls. 😰

Shizuru and Reimi get captured by tiny creatures. Akira is sick and needs a doctor. the escape sequence is tense. Reimi's outfit getting destroyed AGAIN? girl can't catch a break. 🏃

goat people, laughing root crops, floating organs? the animation kept getting wilder. reimi forcefully removing that mushroom from akira's rear end? peak absurdity. this show is unhinged. 😂

the whole vibe shifted in this episode. the mushroom people seemed friendly at first, but the uncanny valley feeling never went away. akira screaming at them to wake up? her voice acting was raw. the way the vines crawled over the train? nightmare fuel. 😰

The girls have ZERO supplies. no money, no food, Reimi's underwear situation is CRITICAL. they see a LONG NECK stretching out of the water. Akira is convinced it's a dinosaur. "we could die" vibes are real. 🦕

7G launch went wrong. people turned into animals. the surreal atmosphere was thick from the start. the banter between the girls? gold. that final shot of the train pulling away? chills. hooked me instantly. 😂

Man, I'd love to get a continuation! The world is back to normal, or at least somewhat, as a lot of things are still different than before the 7G accident, so the possibilities for continuation are enormous. What a nice series though, idk why i criticised it at the begining.

This episode was okay, at last Finally the 7G serving it's purpose and connecting a call through a bitter melon. Wasn't expecting the button to do anything, got to be Yoka pressing it clearly

i love how the moment Shizuru, Reimi and Nadeshiko got turned into different art style, they also changed their voices and how they're talking, especially Nadeshiko with that deep voice

A big of a stretch, but it's kinda funny how Pontaro's motivation seem to be avoiding having to admit he did something wrong, and he's trying to make sure Youka doesn't even think of leaving Ikebukuro. Not so different from how Shizuru was, huh

This episode has to be the most chaotic and unhinged one yet, at least for me. Everything being so fast paced added even further to all the chaos. It was good though I'll give it that.

I wonder who is the other queen in Ikebukuro that Kuroki mentioned to Shizuru and others before they left. Maybe Youka, or maybe someone entirely new? I loved those scenes at the end of the episode with the dominant red colors, it looked cool

I love how the train's name is the name of the anime's original creator and writer. Very subtle. But, I did not expect Shizuru to be so insensitive. You'd think she'd be more worried about Pochi puking but she pretty much shrugs it off. It was an interesting episode though.

Little Reimi dashing at those bullies like a pint sized banshee was pretty funny. Her and Akira bicker and tease each other a lot but at the end of the day, they’re good friends.
