Yuzu has such a strange energy about her, and her just inserting herself into his space makes for a really fun dynamic right from the start.

I felt so many butterflies when the music swelled during that first big confession because the chemistry between the leads is just as good as the manga

It is so refreshing to see a girls love story that does not drag its feet. Mikoto just telling Nekozaki that she likes her is such a bold way to kick things off. Hopefully the side characters do not ruin the romance though. Some of those nutballs were funny, but they really need to give the main duo some space.

every scene with Nekozaki fumbling through a conversation felt so relatable and the voice acting really sells her awkwardness

the lighting in the apartment at night gave off such a warm vibe and it made their first big talk feel much more personal than expected

I was so caught off guard when Mikoto just blurted out that she likes Nekozaki and the way they looked at each other was so sweet

that large cast of characters feels a bit chaotic but the comedy lands well and the animation style perfectly matches the energy of the original art

I was a bit worried about how the art style would translate, but the character designs look great in motion and Yuzu is just as charming as I hoped. It felt so relatable when he tried to act cool but tripped over his own trash, because I have definitely been there and it made me like him immediately.

that scene where he was scrambling to clean up before she saw the state of his life had me laughing and the voice acting fits him perfectly

you really get a sense of how lonely he was before she crashed into his life and that final shot of the two of them was perfect

those weird humor beats and the goofy side characters kept me laughing, even if they might get annoying if they keep getting in the way of the main couple.

souta is a bit of a difficult protagonist to like right now and his constant whining about his life got a little old by the end of the episode

The bluntness from Mikoto really hit me right in the heart and I am already so invested in where this girls love story goes
