Maomao, a clever apothecary with a penchant for poisons, is kidnapped and sold into service at the inner palace. Suddenly, rumors begin to circulate about a curse that causes the emperor's babies to fall ill and die. Can Maomao use her medical knowledge to save them? 
If you like anime with empowered and intelligent female characters, you will definitely love The Apothecary's Diaries.

Loving the opening and the first episode. Love how cute MaoMao is, especially when she’s in her chibi self, who would’ve thought she would be that chill to being kidnapped and becoming a servant. A great introduction to the world and the characters. I didn’t feel comfortable of the eunuch positions tho, searched it up and I was stunned at how terrible the condition they were living in. Other than the, fantastic start!

A mysterious, clever, and fun introduction. Maomao is a bold main character who uses her knowledge of medicine to solve problems in the royal palace. The story grabs your attention with secrets, danger, and humour, making you want to know more about the main character and her environment.

This anime actually captivates viewers with just 1 episode and I'm one of those who thinks this will be a great series. A smart girl who'll outsmart many people and i think will also solve much more incidents in the series provided that she won't clash with the authority XD.

Female detective of quirky personality is such a underated troupe that finding one is like finding a gem. The mystery was easy to follow and did not strech logic, simply using common sense and special knowledge. Love it.

This episode feels calm but interesting 😊 Maomao stands out with her smart thinking and The mystery is simple but engaging but It is not fast but keeps you watching and The setting feels different from usual anime and that makes it more enjoyable so yeahh watchh
