OH NO, the storage room door is locked 😭 I’d be panicking so hard if I were Kinoshita.

The pacing is rather slow for this episode as it is just F/ace shooting for their variety show. Only towards the end, we get some extra lore on Keito on his reason for becoming an idol and his actually feelings for his members. Also, poor Ouri, as Utage has only eyes on Tamon.

Make it chaotic with a beach arc 🌊😳. Peak drama is the result of Ouri's miscommunication and the closet trope. Tamon and Utage's beach moment felt delicate but dangerous, with tension building sharply. Keito's backstory added depth.

New setting as this episode takes place at the beach! It's kind of sweet how much Tamon looks out for Utage even while he's working. Ouri continues to try (and fail) at getting Utage to simp for him. Keito is surprising caring but for his group mates. Great episode overall.

I just love how Tamon looks out for Utage’s every move, even with a busy day of shooting for F/ACE. This Summer Camp episode was a candy for my eyes. My ship is sailing!!!

Using a classic anime trope (summer beach trip) to provide deep character development for the cast, Episode 8 is a standout "breather" episode.

When Rintarou and Tamon start showing off their muscles… MY EYES! The summer camp vibes are super fun and energetic, and the visuals are great. Keito’s B-side isn’t as bad as I thought—he really cares about the members. Poor Ouri, that last scene caused a big misunderstanding 😢

This episode is already worth watching because we get to see more of Keito's motivations and character, but those watching for more Tamon & Utage ship moments won't leave disappointed either.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the halfway mark of this 13-episode run, Episode 8 builds directly off the one-on-one time Utage and Tamon shared in Episode 7 by expanding the focus outward to the full group dynamic during a summer training camp. It's a pivotal transition point — Ōri's emerging feelings introduce a new romantic variable, while Utage's undercover role faces fresh pressure in a less controlled environment. This sets the stage for the back half of the season, where these simmering tensions are likely to converge.
