I have been wanting to watch this for a while now so I'm really happy I started it. I love the animation, it has good quality and very aesthetically pleasing. I didn't expect Anne to have such a strong-willed character which I love to see. Challe is so pretty though like woahhh, anyways looking forward to watching this series

It was a very interesting premiere for this series. I was actually not expecting it to have such a strong concept. I honestly thought it would be more about cooking and stuff, based on what the title implies, but as the narrative gradually emphasizes its main substance, the direction of the story turned out to be completely different from what I expected. However, I was not disappointed at all. Instead, I am intrigued to see where the story goes next. Furthermore, the animation is absolutely exquisite. The aesthetic display and visuals are incredibly fascinating to look at, and the vivid color palette combined with the setting makes the vibe perfect.

Ín the first episode of this "slice of life" fantasy, we get introduce to the main plot and protagonists. In a world where humans and fairies coexist, the fairies are now a opressed group, with them having their wings took and making them slaves.

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the series premiere of a 12-episode season, this episode carries the full weight of establishing Anne and Challe's dynamic, the world's power structures between humans and fairies, and the central goal of becoming a Silver Sugar Master. Nothing precedes it, but it directly sets up the events of episode 2, 'The Bloody Highway,' where the journey intensifies and new threats emerge. Consider this the narrative and tonal blueprint for everything the season will build on.
