Betelgeuse was such a formidable opponent! He was so impossibly invincible, driven by an unpredictable motive which made him all the more terrifying. Visually, his spider-like form with several limbs felt the most disturbing for me.

I got so much "full circle" vibes from this episode. Subaru wins over the antagonist, and even (somewhat) gets the girl. The action scenes with Julius were so top-tier as well! Julius is way too OP, and the sloth guy makes me curious about the witch Satella.

Subaru's confession at the end was so unexpected but very much something he would do! The sequence with their reunion, his rash decisions and the iconic lap scene. All of them gave so much emotional payoff to Subaru's earlier suffering after Emilia left him. So glad they talked it out in the end!

Aaaaa the ending is really cool. Finally Subaru can calm down for a moment after the long fight with Betelgeuse. Emilia and Subaru also have a really strong bond with each other. Basically, this anime is really cool. I'm getting more and more curious about the continuation of Subaru and Emilia's story.

wrapped things up a little too cleanly. subaru screaming "return by death" to summon the witch and evict sloth was clever but raises a thousand questions. the bomb chase with the merchant was pure anime logic. but that final scene with emilia's lap and rem crying in the distance? bittersweet. subaru finally got his win but at what cost.

Quality ending of Season 1 for me! The first time Emilia hears how much Subaru loves her! All the sacrifices! If she only knew what he went through to save her! All those deaths! Worth it! 10/10 must watch anime!

Strong finale. The last confrontation feels satisfying. Subaru finally shows growth. The emotional ending feels calm compared to the chaos before. It wraps up the season well. Leaves a hopeful feeling.

UP: The finale wraps the arc beautifully. Betelgeuse gets a proper death. Lap pillow scene with Emilia brings things full circle. DOWN: The magic stones bomb plot feels forced just to make Subaru look cool. That post-credit witch whisper? CRUEL cliffhanger. 🌌

The finale was absolute banger. Watching Subaru jump onto the carriage to save Emilia from the fire stones? Damm that was hella crazy. Peak ending for a peak season.

The only reason I ever started this series was because of the incredible things I've heard about episode 15. I constantly hear many call it one of the greatest episodes of all time, and after watching it, I instantly placed it in my top 4 best episodes of all time. Episode

He has to actually work and use his mind like any other human to overcome it. He cannot just Ainz Ooal Gown or Rimuru Tempest his way out of situations by destroying everything with magic. Look how many times it took him to overcome the amulet being stolen
