That bedroom scene actually looked incredible and it is just wild how high the quality is for a show that is just about a messy love triangle

the way Kotone is coming out of her shell to fight Ayane for Kazushi is the only thing keeping the plot moving since the main guy is basically a cardboard cutout

bakeneko_blade_222
you can tell there is no real story here but the way the animation stays so consistent and smooth during the most explicit parts is actually kind of impressive for a short anime

I am mostly watching this for the drama between the sisters but the scene where Kazushi mistakes Kotone for Ayane was just bizarre. He says he feels bad about the mistake, but then he just keeps going because he says the train already left the station. I do not think he cares about consent at all and he just lets things happen

Kazushi has absolutely no spine but the way the sisters are actively competing for him makes the whole love triangle thing way more interesting than the actual story which basically does not exist

the sibling rivalry is getting way more intense now, and the animation for their expressions is actually pretty high quality for this kind of show

it is pretty wild that he figured out he was with the wrong girl and just kept going anyway because he felt like he could not stop the train at that point

I can not stand how passive Kazushi is but it was cool to watch Kotone start standing up to her sister for his attention
diamond_322's avatar

I actually felt bad for Kotone when Kazushi realized he was with the wrong sister but the way he just decided he couldn't stop the train made me lose any respect for his character

zuna_293
the contrast between how aggressive Ayane is and how shy Kotone acts makes the rivalry between the sisters feel so tense especially when they both want Kazushi in the same room

you can really tell the animation budget went into the fluid movement during the bedroom scenes and it is way better than it has any right to be for a show with zero plot
devonte2847's avatar

That bedroom scene was so messy and Ayane did not even seem to care that he thought she was her sister at first which makes the whole triangle feel super toxic
tanjiro_tidal's avatar

Kazushi really has no backbone and he just lets whatever happen to him but that mix up with Ayane in the bed was definitely a bold choice for the writers
l_mystery's avatar

Seeing Ayane just go with it after Kazushi touched her by mistake in the dark made me feel so weird because the rivalry is getting intense
satori_sensei's avatar
satori_sensei
The tension between those sisters is getting way out of hand and Ayane looked like she was actually enjoying that mistake in the bedroom more than she should have
cloud_strife_399's avatar
cloud_strife_399
I was totally caught off guard when Kazushi grabbed Ayane in the dark instead of Kotone and the way he just kept going even after he realized it was her was crazy

jugrad_juggernaut_482
The pacing was solid and it kept the energy going from the start without any boring breaks in the action
talon_266's avatar

Kotone becoming more expressive and showing her feelings made the ending of that scene hit way harder
betobeto_san's avatar

Kazushi mistaking one sister for the other was a wild twist but he still feels like he has no personality

Picking up exactly where the last one ended kept the tension from the room going for the viewers

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming directly off the series-establishing first episode, this installment deals with the immediate emotional fallout and the subtle but meaningful shifts in how Kazushi, Ayane, and Kotone relate to one another. It functions as a transitional episode, consolidating the groundwork laid in Episode 1 while planting the emotional seeds that will drive the remaining six episodes forward.
