QUICK TAKES

This was a promising starter. It reminded me of Toradora, with Akaishi's personality and physique, similar to Taiga. The animation was smooth and the visuals' cuteness and fluttering moments, resembling Waguri from 'Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku', with its fast-paced exagerrated blush. The CGI animation in the climax ruined the entire tone of this ep, though.

Bruh!? I totally didn’t expect this at all. What the heck am I watching? But actually, it’s so goddamn fun, LOL! I was expecting a pure romcom here, but this is just insane. Craftsmanship-wise, it’s really great. The animation is nice, and the art style is super cute.

I'm interested to see where it goes from here. I love the animation, reminded me of Call of the Night. LIDEN FILMS cooked.

I was so excited when I found out they were adapting this into an anime! I started reading the manga a few years ago and always loved the art style and the story. I feel like the anime managed to capture that exact same vibe. Minami is the best!

Seems like its going to be quite an interesting anime, and the animation is pretty good too, I wonder if they're going to keep the secret identity plot too long and how are they going to deal with that, it was quite a nice first episode tho, we got everything, drama, romance, comedy and even action. Also, great soundtrack, I'm definitely going to look up who made the opening/ending.

LMAOOOOO Didnt know what I expected in the beginning but it's definitely not this! Decently surprised, Surprisingly a lot of depth to the characters to right from the first episode.
Literally Godzilla Shoujo Anime.

The kaiju design is adorable and intimidating at the same time. Heart-shaped spikes are such a funny detail for a romance series HAHAHAHA

Arata being genuinely nice instead of instantly judging Kuroe was refreshing. The poor guy has no idea he's accidentally causing a city-level disaster. 💀

The premise sounds ridiculous, but Episode 1 actually does a great job making you sympathize with Kuroe. Her social anxiety feels surprisingly relatable despite the giant monster part, LOL

EPISODE CONTEXT
As Episode 1, this is pure foundation — nothing precedes it, and everything follows from it. The premiere establishes Kuroe's condition, her social isolation, and her first meaningful contact with Arata Minami, dynamics that will drive the entire season. What this episode sets up is the central tension between Kuroe's need to hide and the inevitability of being seen.
