The transition from domestic slave to relationship counselor in a cape is funny and you can tell the writers had a blast with the puns

I really loved the change of pace with the Ebichuman bit, because it was so unexpected to see her take charge for once. Usually, she is just a punching bag, but here she is out there trying to save relationships with the most inappropriate advice ever. Watching a hamster act like a legendary hero while talking about adult stuff is what makes her so funny to me.

Ebichu somehow makes a superhero mask look adorable and then she opens her mouth and says the most tactless stuff imaginable

The way the show mocks superhero tropes is perfect, especially since Ebichu is normally just getting kicked around or eating ice cream.

It is so jarring how the cute art style clashes with Ebichuman telling people how to fix their sex lives and that really makes the joke land

I did not think a hamster could be that explicit while wearing a cape and my sides actually hurt from the parody song

You see this tiny hamster trying to be a superhero but she just ends up talking about sex positions and it makes no sense at all

The parody of sentai shows is so funny when it is a hamster doing it and her advice is genuinely unhinged

Ebichu wearing that little cape and mask is the cutest thing ever and I lost it when she started giving that raunchy advice to the couple

Ebichuman is such a weird shift for this show and seeing her get all heroic just to be gross is hilarious

Ebichuman is something else because she really thinks she is doing something helpful while saying the most inappropriate things to a person just trying to have a normal relationship

the show is getting weirder with this ebichuman thing because seeing a cute hamster talk about sexual positions is just a lot to process even for this show and the lack of filter is crazy

The way Ebichu thinks she is a hero is so funny to me, because she is actually just making everything ten times worse for her master. That scene where she just opens a drawer to transform was so low effort and perfect. Her advice is totally unhinged and gross, but her wanting to help is still kind of sweet.

you expect a real superhero parody but then she just gives the most insane sexual advice possible while wearing a tiny costume and it makes the whole thing so awkward and funny

I think I lost my mind when she yelled transform and just put on a cape from the drawer without any special effects and then started yelling about sex stuff to her master

you expect certain things from this show like the master being angry but this hero segment felt like random filler and it was hard to stay interested

I usually love how mean this show gets with the office lady and her boyfriend but this superhero parody felt so out of place. Ebichu is adorable in that little costume, yet the actual jokes about being a hero for justice were boring. I really hope they go back to the regular apartment setting soon because this is a slog

nothing about this hero skit worked and you can tell the writers were just running out of ideas for the apartment gags this week
vexen_457's avatar
vexen_457
that theme song for the hero segment was probably the only decent part because the actual sketches were the weakest ones in the show so far

The parody of sentai shows is fine, but it takes away from the cruel household humor that makes this series actually unique

EPISODE CONTEXT

Landing at the one-third mark of the season, this episode follows a softer installment where Ebichu tended to her ailing owner, offering a tonal pivot back into the show's more provocative comedic territory. The Ebichuman persona introduced here adds a light recurring flavor to Ebichu's character without disrupting the series' anthology-style rhythm. It feeds directly into the next episode's continued exploration of adult themes, reinforcing the show's pattern of cycling between domestic warmth and boundary-pushing humor.
