definitely not the best episode and the animation looked way lazier than the start of the season

this show is so unhinged and seeing Ebichu try to act like a guard dog while being a three inch tall hamster is pure chaos and the way the office lady just ignores the danger to be annoyed at her pet is the funniest thing ever and it is great how dark the punchlines get every single time

I thought the pacing was off during the break-in scene, although Ebichu being a little terror to the thief was funny.

the burglar standing there confused by a talking hamster is the exact kind of stupid comedy that defines the whole series

Ebichu defending the house really made me laugh and the way she gets punished for no reason at the end is classic

Ebichu is usually funny when she is being domestic, but the home invasion theme felt weirdly dark even for this show.

I couldn't stop laughing when Ebichu got all worked up over the intruder and the slapstick was actually pretty decent for once

Ebichu trying to stop a thief while being a tiny hamster is hilarious and the way she gets kicked around per usual is such a classic gag

this one was kind of a letdown because the robber plot is such a cliché and the ending felt rushed
arceus_309's avatar

the burglar episode felt a bit slow compared to the others and the jokes about the office lady being single are getting old

that burglar really picked the wrong house to rob because nobody can handle that much hamster energy and the ending where OL finally wakes up just to yell at Ebichu was perfect

It actually kills me how this little hamster manages to annoy a criminal so much and I love how she just wanted to show off her cleaning skills

OL just sleeping through a literal home invasion while Ebichu is doing her best to be a guard hamster is comedy gold, especially when she starts oversharing her master's private business again.

Watching this hamster be more worried about the laundry than the actual intruder is exactly why this show is hilarious and the way she just ignores the danger is so funny

I really thought that poor burglar was going to have a heart attack once Ebichu started talking his ear off and he just looked so confused the whole time

you have to feel bad for the guy trying to rob the place because no amount of money is worth listening to ebichu talk about her master for that long

the animation during the scuffle was actually pretty decent for a show about a hamster getting beat up and the burglar face when he saw ebichu talk was priceless

The way the burglar just stood there while the hamster ranted was too much, especially when OL finally showed up and lost her mind. This show is so unhinged.

it killed me when ebichu started showing the burglar where the valuables were because she thought he was just a guest or something and then ol came home

ebichu getting kicked across the room for trying to be a good guard dog was exactly what you expect from this show and it still hits every time

EPISODE CONTEXT

Positioned at episode 20 of 24, this episode arrives just after domestic and relationship themes took center stage in 'Here Come the Newlyweds,' giving the show a chance to shake up the setting with external disruption rather than internal drama. It feeds directly into 'The Newlyweds Go Shopping,' suggesting the series is cycling through everyday domestic scenarios as it builds toward its finale stretch. At this late stage, the character dynamics between Ebichu, the Office Lady, and Kaishounachi are firmly established, letting the episode lean fully into situational comedy without needing to do heavy character work.
